Duncan Ferguson For Leadership?

Would you give Big Dunc the job until at least the end of the season, possibly for the forseeable?

I'm not an advocate but I voted yes, as a For Now, option, I think even perhaps end of season while we get our Club in order, get a proper philosophy, business plan and start scouring EVERYWHERE, for a young, ambitious, modern thinking manager. While we start to rebuild the club reputation.

My reasoning is, any manager looking at what's gone on in last few weeks/months with the Tapas appointment could well be very wary while the atmosphere is still so toxic and although Tapas will be gone(Hurrah) the mood towards Mosh is yet to be resolved and his approach needs to change for that to resolve.

I like Dunc, he may even prove many wrong, me included, as a manager and he has worked under some good ones, so must have learnt something, I just don't think it's right for him yet!

Would love to be proven wrong though.

Whatever happens it has to right this time.

Maybe, doing very well at Fulham a team scoring goals for fun, has his faults, but older, wiser, knows the club and knows a player when he see's one, wanted Doucoure, bought Richarlison, could even persuade him to stay longer. Let down by us not getting Zooma at the time so left without his main centre half for that year. Him or Lampard for me, only my opinion like.

Crazy shout... But you're allowed your opinion so, Peace be with you brother.

Nothing personally against Ferguson but he should be nowhere near the managers job … passion will only get you so far, tactical nouse and implementation of that nouse will get you a lot further.
True but there's no evidence either way on whether he possesses or does not possess those qualities. Personally I'd have him in charge a few games whilst we look for permanent replacement, and if he does well (even if that's just due to new manager bounce) let him continue in the short term. If results support keeping him in post until the end of the season then great... his qualities can then be better assessed against other available options.

What is so crazy about at least giving Duncan a proper trial until the end of the season ?

He has had a taste of the job before and did well .
This should prove that he is or isn't capable of doing a good job.

Any of the alternatives I saw mentioned are all big risks anyway.

It probably would be difficult to attract some managers mid season anyway.

Honestly I find the shouts for Dunc to be manager irksome and to reek of sentimentality. How is he qualified especially as precariously close to relegation zone. (Dont think we need a firefighter type manager though).he Has no experience managing a club long term and even though he did decent last time as custodian his tactics were incredibly out dated. Would they be sustainable over the course of the season?. Need some a savvy capable manager not a mascot to galvanize the fans. A competent manager will accomplish that by his merits on the pitch.
