Duncan Ferguson For Leadership?

Would you give Big Dunc the job until at least the end of the season, possibly for the forseeable?

Wouldn’t give him the job even temp. Showed he was clueless last time..ran on passion, probably won’t get the same this time. Also plays 442 which we can’t play as a team

I think there are many who want this cone layer way beyond a few games.

That's what a lot of this has been about. Agitation to get an ex-player in charge.

We really are THAT bankrupt at this club.

I think we're finished for another decade. It feels that way. A moribund organisation.
I'm starting to believe you're a paid agitator.

Nothing to do with 1 win in 13.

Mods, I think this WUM needs another time out.

If Benitez is dismissed he will be no doubt appointed as caretaker.
Personally I have no problem with this , he has always been highly regarded as a very good coach by those who he has worked with.
Ancelotti apparently was keen to take him to Real, which is evidence of how highly he regarded him.
I thought he did very creditably when he last filled the role.
We may need to appoint a DoF before we appoint a manager anyway since most managers expect to work with one. If that’s the case I’d give him until the end of the season, and see how he copes.
At the end of the day if he does well enough , I would be happy to appoint him permanently, especially if our only other options are ageing superstar coaches with little interest in the club, seeking one last payday.

I'd have him as a manager again for a few games simply because he takes no nonsense from the players, Subbing subs off Tosun and Kean after they didn't follow his tactics was brilliant IMO and haven't seem him that angry since his playing days.

Also kind of want to see him kick off at another manager ie Klopp when he's spraying his spit at the fourth official.

Personally, I wouldn't be against giving Ferguson a go.
BUT it would appear that his appointment would be almost as devisive as that of Benitez (see poll above)
Obviously there is nobody out there that would have backing from 100% of the fans, but after the last 6 months what we could really do with is somebody who will unite rather than divide the fanbase. Somebody that the vast majority will get behind from the off.
Not sure that person exists though.

Not even that. Out means out altogether, not near our club again.

Needs to be in place for the Villa game, if Rafael was still here imagine the love in on the touchline, he'd probably even head for their dressing room at half time.

Him and Unsworth need purging as well.

If he bleeds blue, then what impact does he have as assistant manager on these players and their attitude?

Get a new manager in and let him decide who he wants as his staff. Can’t force Ferguson on another manager.

If it’s Rooney, I can imagine he’d want him to stay on as assistant/coach but anyone else and he should be off.
