Duncan Ferguson For Leadership?

Would you give Big Dunc the job until at least the end of the season, possibly for the forseeable?

He should get Villa, if the team wins I would have no problem dragging out the search (especially if we get safe early) until the summer. If we have done very well we have a candidate for the job, if we have done poor it's time to shake hands and go our separate ways. He then can't complain he didn't get a chance. if we do middle of road he should still go elsewhere and show he can be the top man over a number of seasons and if he shows he is getting the best out of what he has got then our paths may cross later on again.

I’m all for Dunc to be given a chance, even perhaps work with Rooney. We’ve tried so called experienced managers, we need a change and perhaps inexperienced learning on the jobs is worth a go. The signings we have made lately also are younger players so the building blocks are there. Of the list of managers I saw there was Santo,Lampard and Potter in the top 5 I don’t want any off those here. Only one I would consider is the Denmark manager if we are going for experience again. But for me a Rooney and Dunc set up is well worth a go.

Let's be honest the managers we have hired have been questionable except for carlos who left us.

So called top managers don’t work for us, also big job comes up they are gone. Moyes type would be ideal, but where is the modern day Moyes type.

You have to look at the lower leagues then but massive gamble.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

The ousters have nearly got their way.

A cone layer in charge. What thery've been pushing for years for.

This is what all their 'principled' argument against Benitez was about.

Install a con man at the heart of the catastophe.

If Duncan becomes caretaker manager for a while why don’t you boo him when your at the match.Oh that’s right I forgot you don’t go the game do ya .you just sit at home telling all the lads who travel all over the country what’s right and wrong .Have a day off lad

He will probably get the job until the end of the season.

He carried himself well in his last stint but I don't see some managerial genius bursting at the seams to be unleashed.

If he wanted to progress and learn, he would have taken the normal development route.

I worry about his association with a whole series of failed regimes and the opinion of the players on that, once the fist-pumping effect wears off.

Nothing personally against Ferguson but he should be nowhere near the managers job … passion will only get you so far, tactical nouse and implementation of that nouse will get you a lot further.
I’m not calling for Ferguson, but do we know what his tactical nouse is? He has worked with lots of Managers and will have learned a lot from that (quite a bit about what not to do!). Just saying he could be a very switched on manager, but I agree he should prove that at a lower level before being offered the job of Everton Manager.

Tactical nous and implementation won't get a manager anywhere with this bunch of vermin...they need a beating.
