Duncan Ferguson got a job

The localish chat down here is that Dunc just wasnt very good at his job. Pretty dated coaching and training methods that had the squad a bit disillusioned with him.

And that is the Forest Green Rovers players.....

I've always wondered if players really understand half of what he's saying. It's not just his accent - love Scottish accents, and there are plenty of great coaches who don't even speak good English - but he talks so fast, and he possibly doesn't have his own tactical style or approach, and I wonder if all players get out of his sessions is 'fight for the shirt lads!!'

He was found out.

It's as simple as that.

All those who argued he should be offered the Everton manager's job have been handed a harsh lesson. Dont let sentiment get in the way of analysis...and any analysis at that time pointed massively away from hiring Ferguson...but some just wouldn't have it.

He hopped on the Everton gravy train in 1994 and rode it for all it was worth for almost 30 years.

If he had played for a different Glasgow giant all those years ago would this still be your opinion? 🤔

Jobs for the boys kept him at the club.. once he was done playing he should have been punted..

Ferguson had no place as a coach much less manager at the club should have been gone a long long time ago.

Dont get me wrong Chief if a manager of the calibre of King Carlo or Senor Benitez wanted him removed then fair enough but feels like a kick in the teeth that Lampard held that kind of sway at the club based on him "saving" us from a relegation battle that he put us in !
