Duncan Ferguson the coach

The only reason Walsh has been completely ineffective in finding players is that he's actually spent the last year searching for someone suitable to tell Dunc the decision was made to let him go a year ago. They approached Chuck Norris but apparently he wears Duncan Ferguson underpants.

I don't get this blame culture for Ferguson myself, all he basically is for us is a coach. He isn't the manager or assistant and even if all he did was teach strikers how to head the ball it's better than nothing.

For me personally the blame for on the field should be with the manager alone, coaches just carry out the managers instructions.

Oh and actually having someone in the dugout who gives a damn about the club should be a good thing right? Especially when any manager we hire is essentially here for the money only

He was a part of Martinez' back room staff, part of Koemans back room staff and now Allardyces.

When Martinez and Koeman got sacked, so did their staff, why not Ferguson? Why isnt he blameless? He's been part of three failed Managerial stints, others got sacked so why not him?

It wasn’t just one game though. It was 7 games in a row!
The arsenal result was one game.

What about the countless number of games since.

I'll say it again even during that run we weren't playing well. It was a very easy run of fixtures that we just barely won on many occasions if memory serves although that probably had more to do with missing Pienaar than Dunc.

I don't know if Dunc is the issue or not. It was probably just coincidence it all started to go a bit poorly after he joined.

That’s my point though, you can’t say things went poorly after he joined if we went on a 7 games winning streak when he joined.

Dunc's a hero, but he's also completely mad.
I grabbed a photo of Dunc and myself recently. He was sound.
I'm quite a tall fella, slightly taller than him. I put my arm around his shoulder, and he gave me a look of surprise and a bit of a glare !
He's a big favourite of mine and although I think he shouldn't be coaching our strikers, he deffo must have a role at the club.

I have never known one of the coaches at a club come under such scrutiny and the best of it is I bet hardly any, if any at all have ever seen him coach.

the blame game is out of control this year, it'll be the tea lady next or we'll blame operation Goodison for getting beat at home by Brighton, the place has gone mental.

I'd honestly give Dunc the job now as top man, with Unsy assisting, until the end of the season.
Ha Ha Ha.

You'd give the feller who's been in the dugout when three regimes went west the manager's job?

He should be down the road.
