Duncan Ferguson - The Coach

Because the players on the field decide Ferguson's future. We have seen it happen at united under mourinho he criticises players and what happens, the players play crap for him on purpose to get him sacked.

Players care about themselves that's why we have players on high wages who are difficult to shift because they don't want to take a pay cut so they reject moves.

players don't get sacked for poor performances, managers do, hence why keeping the players happy is paramount.

If Ferguson continues with the Roy Keane mentality "it's my way or leave" crap he will be sacked, simple as.

Roy Keane - Sunderland legend.
He would die for the club.

Oh hang on.

Big Dunc and Arteta are gambles - the same as Marco Silva was ergo its the exact same policy that we have been pursuing.

Go out and get a bloke who's got success in a proper league.

I will ask you one more time, who is this top class manager within our grasp? Silva was exactly the same sort of gamble as Martinez and Koeman. Dunc, Arteta et al are a different sort of gamble entirely, but the single point we can agree on is that it is all a gamble, one that we have proved to be uniquely bad at.

I am simply arguing that maybe it's time to go for someone who really has the interests of the club at heart, could they do any worse than the last three? If I had to hang my hat on a 'proven' manager it would be Rafael, partly on the basis that I think we have a chance of getting him, but of all the names linked so far I would rather give the big man a run and I am not alone in my opinion.

Ancelotti
Mancini
Kovac
Benitez
Ten Hag
Biesla
Rose
Hutter

All decent managers who have either won things in a good standard of league or have shown they can build top sides and progress in elite competitions.

Brands will (or should) also have a much more in depth list of who out there can take us forward.

Giving it to Dunc based on 2 games or Arteta because he once played for us or Unsy because he's one of us is just lazy and more of the same.

But it's not more of the same is it? Appointing Duncan or Arteta would be a change in policy and I don't understand why you don't accept that, Silva and the others are not comparable on any level. That said, your short list is fine but resoundingly obvious and I wonder if you've ever stopped to consider their motivation for coming to Everton, if they ever did?

Managed to get more out of the players in two weeks that silva did in two years
Yes but I was just thinking, the players are dropping like flies, it won’t be long before Dunc doesn’t have enough players. I bet it’s like a very very hard boot camp now compared to Silvas training.

Out of that list the 2 beginning with B would handle the job ok, the rest would be gone with in 2 years.

Can’t wait till he’s confirmed long term manager.

Told you all, as soon as he switched to the suit for the Chelsea game. It was nailed on.

Great job so far, he’s playing to their strengths and keeping it simple. A deep line for Keane at the back, getting it up quickly for DCL to win headers and getting Richarlison on the ball to run at the defense.

It’s also nowhere near Big Sam tactics like some have said, we’re mch more attacking and the wide midfielders get the chance to carry it forward.

Probably won’t get the job, but it would be interesting to see how he would play with a full strength team, this setup certainly suits the front two.
