Duncan Ferguson - The Coach

I guess if any other team scored that goal to take it to pens it would have been because they didn’t give up and kept going until the very end hey Dave?
...we can dress it up all we want. It was, however, a lost game.

Three games - 1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss. That's just the facts. I;d also say the level of perfomance has dipped in each subsequent game too.

Against Chelsea, Man U (away) and Leicester who are flying. You'd give an aspirin a headache you.

Left his new boss with a squad transformed from the one left by Silva. 4 points out of 6 against good teams in the league, lost a pen shootout.

In what, 2 weeks?

Had worse days.

its madness anyone even having a go at him ... check our starting team and bench for them games

our strongest 11 couldn't beat bottom tier teams

Its really only Dave. He has long had an opinion of Dunc, goes back years, and in some respect, I do get where he is coming from.

But when tasked with a pretty bleak run of games, plus the injuries/illness that was lobbed at him, he has done an excellent short term fix. Missed pens cant really be placed at his door, a spirited come back can be.

I’d say your wrong, against United they were superb also, again with a make shift central midfield, they looked tired in the first half of the Leicester game but the 2nd half would be the opposite to that. Also my point wasn’t wether the game was drawn or lost it was to point out they kept going until the very end hence deserved the equaliser.

Yes, they never downed tools. But that, as I see it, is all Ferguson can impart. That's all he has. We need an experienced man with guile to go beyond just competing.

If he wants to succeed as a manager, Ferguson needs to cast his comfort blanket aside and go and manage elsewhere - earn his dues. He saw this opportunity as a chance to go from first team coach with no experience of leading a team to the PL big time. No chance. Get out and prove yourself and then come back...IF you cut muster.

You keep saying hes tried to get the job full time but hes repeatedly and publically said he doesn't want it.

How are you squaring the two?
