Dunc's Chance to Shine

I think it makes sense for Duncan to stay and help the new manager and his team to settle in.
He knows the players and everybody at the club and at least there will not be a complete upheavel at the club.

At the same time Duncan can start looking for managerial roles and I feel he would get a chance sooner rather than later.
lol lol lol

We all thought you would be pleased! :D
No one should be pleased at a serial loser staying.

Constantly rewarded for constant failure.

You know when all these reporters are saying the club is dysfunctional? This is one of the reasons: the retention of a clique behind every single new manbager that comes in working away behind the scenes to undermine them.

If he isn't willing to leave now I don't think he ever will.
Even now he still thinks the Everton managers job will fall into his lap one day.

Never in a million years would he apply for a manager's job elsewhere because he knows he'd bollocks it up big time.

Be interesting to see what his new 'role' is.

By all accounts Lampard has his own ideas for his coaching staff, so I can't see him still being a major presence on the sidelines either way.

Maybe Frank Lampard actually wants Duncan on board?

Lampard has offered Ferguson a role here again...because he wouldn't do the honourable thing and leave.

Lampard really needed to insist on him leaving. The galloot has interviewed for the job he got and he did so claiming he had the players supporting him in his bid.

THAT is a massive problem.

There should have been a ruthlessness there.

Hopefully Lampard does well until the end of the season and is in a position to get Ferguson out.

If Ashley Cole is coming in, I wonder if baines will move to u23 manager and we punt unsworth?

*Based on nothing more than the rumour that Ferguson was offered the u23 job

Ild sooner have seen Baines promoted into his team than Ferguson.

Ferguson has proven he cant be a coach. Baines should get the chance with the first team.
I think Ferguson will be gone. He won't accept slipping down the pecking order further. Probably best for all parties and I wish him well

I agree with most of this Dave, I don't think he is a serial loser though. Truth be told we don't know what he does at FF to say is he a benefit or had much to do with the decline, but my optimism that I had is tempered by the fact he will still be around. The players may be nonplussed when a manager gets fired but Dunc being let go may show them that their actions (inaction) have consequences. Standards need raising and someone who is happy to bounce along has no place anywhere near a competitive sports team.

Who are you to question Fergusons honour? Were you in the room when these discussions/interviews took place? I said this before - maybe Frank Lampard actually wants Duncan on board in some capacity.

Did you walk in on Big Dunc doing your misses in the Steffen Freund choke hold pal?

Your hate for the guy is unhinged to say the least
