Will this mean we have to start throwing punches at Police horses on match days? His nickname is 'two goal Dwight'.
Benitez basically turning us into Newcastle.
It's good business if your goal is to remain in midtable. Neither of those push us on at all unless McNeil is really good and being held back by Burnley, which is plausible, but Rafael Benitez being the one to unlock it is something I'll remain doubtful of.McNeil & Dumfries for a combined £45 million outlay is good business in the current market imo.
Hope we pull both off. Would rather Bailey but he could have been another Pepe/Keita/Haller/Thiago flop.

It's not whether they're good enough for Everton like we're some kind of elite club it's whether or not they're a good player for anyone. McNeil has the benefit of age on his side but he's played essentially 2.5 PL seasons and not shown much progress at all and is not currently a good player. He's still worth trying to buy and improve but I think you need to have a specific idea of what you're going to do. If our plan is put him on the left and let him hit crosses we're just getting the Burnley player and that guy is not worth 25m and doesn't make us better.Jesse Lingard fired West Ham into the top 6.
This whole "x player isnt good enough for Everton" is bollox tbh pal.
In 2005im no benitez apologist but he somehow managed to win a champions league with crap like luis garcia and riise as wide players
News for you mate. We are a mid table team and trying to attract other teams best players could be the way to go as we havnt won anything in over 26 years and don't have the spending power of the teams above. Pains me to say it but its where we are and will continue to be until those wasters on big money decide to leave or sit out their contracts. We need better to push on but think they whole strategy has changed with the stadium incomingBless all who have been repeatedly beaten to the point that Dwight McNeil is an attractive proposition.

Then we go buy Lingard then not some two goal no-mark who is struggling at Burnley..Jesse Lingard fired West Ham into the top 6.

Who says the club doesn't have a plan?
Thats my point - a lot of moaning lately before anything has even happened.
If we are midtable come November - moan about the manager.
If McNeil is bang average by November - moan about signing him
If Gray and Townsend are wastes of space by November - hammer the club for signing them.
But until then whats with the endless crying over spilt milk when a kin ball hasnt been kicked? lol
Then we go buy Lingard then not some two goal no-mark who is struggling at Burnley..
simples.. unless you are a burst Spanish knacker.
