He's pretty slow for a winger, so I don't think this is a good buy.. unless he can also play center mid, then maybe...

Thus any potential deal not making sense. Slow and not scoring enough and assists with these kind of big money transfer.

I think the thinking is to pair him with Digne and make his side harder to lock down (they would always man mark Digne because they knew our right side was wank and he didn’t have enough pace to beat his man).

We may be better served just making the other side an actual threat. We are bringing in a RB so half of the problem is solved- just need somebody fixes the RW (or CAM if James sits on the right). The optimist in me hopes Gray isn’t a complete bust, so hopefully (if we sign Dwight) that right side isn’t a letdown.

£10m was what the deal we were talking to Burnley about in January was before we loaned him to Celtic, even drop our value to £5-8 to make it easier to do

Yeah was just about to post the same. He isn't as slow as people make him out to be. He can move pretty quickly when running at players with the ball. His style is more methodical. I do think he'd be a perfect fit for Benitez's system and would allow Richarlison to play closer to goal. But I can't imagine Burnley are going to sell him, especially to us, for less than £40-45m. So I don't see it happening.

Be very surprised if they still want JJK, absolutely flopped at Celtic and I suspect Lowton is better anyway. If they still want him that’s fine by me, but I’d be shocked.
