He can play left, right and centre. Belting cross on him. Would work well for Dom but then it moves Richy elsewhere (not that I'm arsed since he's been poor for ages).

However at £30m+ I'd rather sign a class RW instead.

Pretty much how I feel about him, a good player to have but not a transformative signing. In any case, I doubt we can get him for £25M and I doubt we have £25M even if we could.

In theory maybe. In practice he's only played on the left.

I'd actually be more into this signing if the idea was to try and move him but that's one of those things you've got to have a well thought out plan for.

Still he's got 80 some PL appearances and I think a good 70 are on the left. His skillet may allow him to move but I wouldn't be going crazy to spend a lot in that situation.

He's just not my style of player I guess.

Well I didn't say sign him to play anything but LM just that he has and can play across the pitch. He's a classic winger; not for everyone but I like them.

Sounds like you wouldn't have rated him either.

Have you looked at a calendar in the last 30 years?

There's a reason they're called "classic" wingers now when they stay really wide and cross.
