Player Valuation: £35m
Up top? He hasn’t really played out on the left as a legit winger for a bit now
So we are playing 442?

Allan and Doucoure could play in a 2, Gbamin, Davies and maybe this Nunes lad could also play there in rotation?we haven't got the midfield to play 4-4-2
Not everything has to be about pace.Find it fairly depressing that he appears to be our top target for a wide player.
Not a bad player like, but he's hardly going to help us attack with the pace we've been lacking. Just massively underwhelming.
The difference is we had money to burn back thenNot everything has to be about pace.
We were lacking in that department but Gray and Townsend provide us with that option as well as Digne,DCL and Richarlison now.
People are making it sound as if McNeill has the same pace as Jamez and that isn't so, he is quick but not reliant on pace.
We need to sign good footballers more than anything rather than players with pace and not much more.
McNeill is the ideal age, is a good footballer and can play in a few positions , a very good signing but probably too expensive for us.
I feel this thread will have been very similar to the Richarlison thread when we were trying to sign him.
I think these days if you aren’t quick you’ve got to be good , is he ? genuine questionNot everything has to be about pace.

Watched pretty much all the footy last year and remember him against us but unless my memory is slipping I’m not sure he particularly stood out did he ? Maybe he did and I’m just not recalling
I think all their players work within a system , I worry if anyone of them flourish elsewhere and like I say he might be good but I can’t recall him doing a lot against us aside . Couple of goals and 5 assists , so half of what James gave us and we repeatedly read he didn’t do enough .I think the point of Burnley is that none of their players stand out. I do think McNeil is a player that will shine elsewhere given more of a free role. But we really should be looking at a right back before him if we only have a limited amount to spend.

That was the problem, our buying has improved since the purse strings have tightened. The difference is we had money to burn back then
We can't afford to spunk £35m on somebody that might slightly improve the team
Lovely goal that, absolutely kippered Allan as well to make the space.
