All of the rumoured players have a point to prove as well. Give me a motivated player over a player who thinks he is doing us a favour by being here.

We need attacking players who can find the net. None of Gray, McNeil or Townsend will do that.

All goalscorers and the Echo reckons we still want a back up CF to DCL who can contribute.

Potentially add in someone like Coutinho on loan then there are goals to the team - Dumfries looked like he loves getting into the box as well.

It could work if we improve the midfield, but a lot would depend on Richarlison being much better than last season.

I have a feeling we could see him push for a move away next month as well to be honest

What makes you think they are leaving?

Richarlison hasn't any interest and James is playing in pre season and chilling with 15 year old bloos on Crosby Beach.

If they go then we have dough to replace them happy days!

Looks like 4-2-3-1 to me. My feeling on this is that if we are going for McNeil, we will be selling Richarlison. They may be aware a bid is going to come from Madrid and are organising targets 1st. Bernard will go and Iwobi may well follow him, but I can't see us making the outlay for McNeil if we knew Richarlison was also saying. It just feels like too many wide options.

He doesn't score a lot of goals, but for a 21 year old he has had great 1st team experience in a top league and is very good at crossing the ball. It's easy to see what the priority is for the season ahead, and he and Townsend are very good at getting crosses in to DCL and potentially Moise Kean.

Richarlison will be off at some stage but not this season I dont think - top clubs abroad are skint and he's at the Olympics.

Next season probably but for this one its either Richarlison or McNeil on the RW with the other on the LW if he signs imo.
