Looks like 4-2-3-1 to me. My feeling on this is that if we are going for McNeil, we will be selling Richarlison. They may be aware a bid is going to come from Madrid and are organising targets 1st. Bernard will go and Iwobi may well follow him, but I can't see us making the outlay for McNeil if we knew Richarlison was also saying. It just feels like too many wide options.

He doesn't score a lot of goals, but for a 21 year old he has had great 1st team experience in a top league and is very good at crossing the ball. It's easy to see what the priority is for the season ahead, and he and Townsend are very good at getting crosses in to DCL and potentially Moise Kean.

Where's Iwobi going? If we're selling him with FFP in mind (and not just because he is mince) we'd have to get a fee of around £14m just to cover book value. Who's paying that for him and taking on his wages? Iwobi is going nowhere.

We need attacking players who can find the net. None of Gray, McNeil or Townsend will do that.

We need to find the net as a team. Pienaar and Baines barely scored open play goals for us but they created an absolute load for us. If DCL is hitting a huge number of goals because he’s getting the service he needs then we’ll benefit.

Would love this signing, I wicked crosser of the ball, and we’re crying out for creativity. Also a team first player so could work well with Digne on the left. As much as I love Richarlison, he’s a goal scorer but doesn’t really create for others.

However we line up, James, DCL, Rich, McNeil is a decent attacking unit, add Digne + a new RB, and hopefully more score involvement from Doucouré & Allan.

Talented lad is McNeil. Villa are said to be in pole position though and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he went there rather than here. Would be a good signing for us I have no doubt.

It could work if we improve the midfield, but a lot would depend on Richarlison being much better than last season.

I have a feeling we could see him push for a move away next month as well to be honest

Richarlison won't be here to start the year so Kean and DCL will probably start and I see no reason Richarlison has to come back in to the team if those two do well

£25m and Kenny sure. Chuck Delph in if they want another player.

Davies started to identify his role in the team as a #6 last year and I thought he did well. Wouldn’t be looking to get rid of him.
