2024/25 Dwight McNeil

I agree with you. I think we can summarise by saying both McNeil and Harrison are absolutely abysmal offensively, and their manager's appetite for a defensive team makes them look even worse.
I think McNeil would be one of our best players in the central area instead of Doucoure. For me apart from set pieces he had the most impact there, as his shooting and passing are at least prem level.

He just is missing some key attributes to be winger.

Go gung ho and not sure Young or Mykolenko does either any favours anyway.
I think the fullbacks themselves are more the problem. Even if we played more defensively better fullbacks would be an option in attack and McNeil and Harrison wouldn’t have to cover for them so much. Kev has done a poo job investing there and it looks like we have given up on it.

Right back is the biggest issue but and Mykolenko is just a typical full back that any team battling relegation would have. Sad thing for him is that other managers would be trying to bring his game on now but Dyche will have no intentions of him doing more than he is currently.

He has had good games for and he has a wicked left shot on him. Maybe he shouldn’t be out wide, not sure to be honest.

The manager doesn’t do him any favours with his tactics. Spends the majority of the game sat infront of the fullback.
When we win it back he’s then got to travel 3/4’s of the pitch to be part of the attack. And then run all the way back again. No wonder he always looks goosed.
