2024/25 Dwight McNeil

I think I will wait until I have seen the players under a different manager before slaughtering them. They're all out of form, too a man. They may not be world beaters but I'm sure they're better than what we are currently witnessing. They hate the tactics, I don't think they particularly fond of Dyche either.

I expect to see a higher level of performance once the shackles are off and we stop launching the ball into orbit. If not, then I'll start with the criticism, I bet they're crapping their pants over that

This is where Dyche don't help players, he constantly goes on about "changing the narrative", how team go about playing winning matches, one step forward two steps backwards or words to those effect, again in Manc post match.

Don't help one of his first on the team sheet is laughing and joking when the side is 4 nil down while match is being played, staring another relegation fight in the face...

The lad has been here longer enough to know that will be picked up on, all you have to do is play with heart on the sleeve and most sardonic Everton fan will accept what you can't do on the football pitch.

Let's be honest, Mcneil ain't really going to be key part of successful Everton team anyway, just maybe off the bench if he is on a silly contract.

I was listening to Everton commentary and Darren Griffiths said "oh my word I can't believe what I've just seen" and Snodin said something along the lines of "don't mention it Daz" and nothing more was said. I wondered what they were talking about and someone in here posted at the same time look at Mcneil laughing with Rashford.

I can't stand Griffiths but it says something that he sounded horrified about it (not horrified enough to call Mcneil out on it as it happened though)

Don't get me wrong, I never intended it to come across as a defence of McNeil, just the squad in general are all playing extremely badly under Dyche.

No problem with people calling McNeil out on his laughing antics or for his performances, all warranted definitely. I just think Dyche is holding everyone back and the "wingers" are just higher full backs under his tactics, it's not good and you can tell the players have had enough. I mean Pickford yelling at him to make a sub tells a story. I wish he'd do the honourable thing and resign really.

This
He could have been saying anything ‘how bad is dyche’ we just don’t know - it’s pointless to attack him for it
Nah. Even if what you say is true, laughing while the team he is stinking out is losing 4-0 suggests that he's not the brightest spark and has no future when we have new leadership. 100k a week these guys are on. Fans are entitled to feel that the players don't care when this is their demeanour. Have some respect for the fans who you have humiliated and let down through your performances.

There will be no improvements at this club as long as Evertonians defend the indefensible.

But this is the point, we have n idea what we are defending - he could have shat himself, Rash could have said something stupid - we just do not know. He is not going to cry the whole way off the pitch

We're losing 4-0 and sliding to the Championship. If Tommy Cooper walked on to the pitch, our players should be angry, upset, and embarrassed. Not having a laugh.

Indefensible.

Yeah, I mean it's not a good look for him, he shouldn't be doing that.

At the same time I feel that some would rather everyone member of the club walk around angry and/or sad until we win, which isn't realistic or helpful.

For me and you, yes, we are lifelong blues - for him it’s just a job and he’s hating working under dyche according reports.

It was mentioned above these guys are on 100k per week, looking at his salary he's nowhere near that...which shapes expectations.

His play on the Beto chance was classic no 10 stuff. It's just too few and far between.

I truly don't think he's as winger, he has a good left foot but can't beat his man consistently, he's too slow.

Should be phased out once we have some cash and some competent management.

For me there a no player that quite encapsulates the absolute mediocrity of a footballer under Sean dyche than this fella.

May as well play with a bell in the ball for him, won’t see a minute under the next manager.
