2024/25 Dwight McNeil

Brilliant pass from McNeil. Felt it in the downtown it was that good. So looking forward to Dwight getting back on the wing and sliding Ndiaye back into center. It’s way overdue.

Thought he'd messed up the pass hitting it too straight at the defender but it was inch perfect.

Season a general write off with low fitness but I'm actually excited to see him kick on under Moyes.

I know he's a marmite player on here (probably due to his close association with Dyche) but even in poor seasons Dwight still gets 6-7 goals and similar number of assists like today and set pieces and that shouldn't change next season if he plays over 30 games.

Also the type Moyes will improve with better decision making as he's done with many similar standard players in the past. He's still young enough to take more instructions on board.

I've always said find a rapid player for the right and a McNeill type the other side is perfectly fine, it's just frustration the recruitment lot can't do it in any transfer window so McNeill has to take most of that on out wide and the one thing you can't really coach is pace.

When a player is sprinting back it's not always easy to make that interception and he was banking more on where Doucore was going than whether the defender could make the interception or not. He hits it anywhere else and it's a goalless draw.

Does he? He is 25 years old and he has scored more than 3 in a season just once.

He gets 5/6 assists most seasons. I like him but doesn’t score near enough goals.
