Good poll as these are basically the only 2 candidates for the job.

Got to be Sam for me unless mosh is prepared to fire Dyche within 3 months if he's not up to the job.

Both smacks of mediocre

We are in a relegation fight! Need to wise up & accept that. This is more then a blip. No striker, ageing CB's and zero creativity.

A 'top' drawer manager is simply not going to be interested.

I'm not hugely comfortable with Dyche or Allardyce but the simple fact remains that we cannot afford to be relegated & these two candidates are likely to pull us out of the mire

How has it come to this? Mentions of Mourinho 18 months ago, Emery, Ancelotti, Tuchel amongst others. An ‘A’ list of managers, and we’re talking of Allardyce and Dyche, and I like Dyche. I’m off to look at the Summer transfer thread from June/July. Good times.

If that’s your criteria I suppose it has to be allardyce, I can’t believe I’m wriiting that though .

I have gone for Sam.

As @Andy C says, anyone who signs Djorkaeff, Campo and Jay Jay Okacha can’t be all bad

But it feels like the end of something for me.

Like an admission, if only to myself, that Everton are now officially among that rank of clubs that exist merely to make up the numbers.

It all started with the “unexpected losses” comment.......there was something about that statement that has shaken most of us to our blue cotton socks :(

And a month later we are voting for either Sam or Dyche :pint2:

The expected losses comment does feel like we’re back to Johnson era when Buckley Finch said Kanchelskis was “the final piece in the jigsaw” when we all hoped it was the first.

I voted alladyce for the rest of season, not appointing him were gambling our premier league status
Bringing in a foreigner would be like Remi Gaarde at Aston Villa, the big names are simply not interested in us right now.
The best chance of having a somewhat decent yet unspectacular season is Big Sam.

I think he'll win and draw more than we loose with Big Sam, that will do for the season

Good grief ... Dyche would expect a long-term contract and money to spend. Big Sam would probably expect to be moved on after keeping us up, which would allow us to get a proper manager in. Of the two, then, Big Sam. Can't believe I said that. Not sure I could handle the laughter from rs if we get him in, though. Some choice.
