Sean Dyche's 3 seasons in the PL have yielded 76 goals in 86 games, in the last 86 games we've played in the top flight we've scored 128 goals (not enough) and sacked the 2 managers who helped that happen.

But that's a daft comparison when you look at the players he would of had at his disposal during that period vs ours

Allardyce.

It's not a life sentence. If people are angry and frustrated, aim it at the board.

He can stabilise us, and give the club room to re-assess, and take stock.

Our PL status is paramount, anyone and anything else pales in comparison.

Perhaps we'll stay up anyway, but at this point I'd go safety first.

It may be a positive turning point of sorts yet, but only if Moshiri finally realises what he has bought into here.

He has to deal with the reality of the situation and what that says about us, and take ownership of the club at all levels.

From the excitement and hope of us doing business early in July and August, spending loads of dosh and looking like we really meant business....

To the choice between Allardyce and Dyche as our new gaffa 3 months later, whilst sat in the relegation zone

It's the ultimate - Everton that......

Large bleach over ice over here lad...

This will be the biggest club, by some distance that either has ever been at. An 18 months deal for Allardyce reeks of it being a stability job. Which indicates what a mess the board think we are in.

I'd back either. One positive is, that they've left a lot of clubs in better places then they've found them and Allardyce annoyed England and the FA which is also a positive.

Allardyce was at Newcastle, (for a bit) so I would say we are bigger but not by some distance.

Allardyce is nothing else but a pragmatist who by hook or crook gets results.

On a brighter note, if whoever comes it can tough out a few wins (we've arguably not got the goal threat to anything else), instill some confidence, and the correct reinforcements are brought in during January we can easily be comfortably clear of trouble.

We're going down aren't we?
