Palace, Stoke, WBA, West Ham all have 100+ goals in the same period as Burnley, even Bournemouth exceed 100+ in their last 86 games.

How many time do you see Burnley 1-0 or Burnley 1-1

It's effective but is that what you want?

It's good enough for Burnley, not us.

But that's because he had never had the quality of players to be able to do any better then that. How many goals did we average under Moyes?

Look I'm not advocating Dyche here as our best option.

But it's naive to judge him on what he's done with a Burnley team starved of any investment in players, and generally worked with championship level players.

If he can get the most out of a better batch of players, like he's done at Burnley with far poorer players, who's to say those stats you refer to might improve?

Big Sam.

Young Sean Dyche is doing well with Burnley considering that he has always had a shoestring budget at Turd Moor, but Big Sam turned Bolton (of all clubs!) into a top 6 outfit and is a specialist when it comes to keeping up crap teams.

Allardyce demanding a 3 year deal is to be expected - he knows we are staring down the barrel at this point, he knows we have money, he knows what the last 2 managers were on. He's not being courted by the likes of Palace or Sunderland now. Its the biggest job he will likely ever have. He will want to extract as much as he can.

Come to think of it, Dyche will probably demand the same or even more if he has his wits about him.
