I see your point. But right now I'd give the job to anyone that can salvage the season. Then take stock at end of season and rebuild properly, with a manager famed for building a side.

If we appointed either of these it wouldnt be just for this season, we would be stuck with them for at least the next 18months or so.

He'd have absolutely no concern or interest for a style of play beyond pure percentage wins, no interest in any sort of club history or heritage, and would sooner channel funds into some obscure signing that put anything in place that would develop the club in the future.

And we make him and his hangers-on even richer than they already are for the privilege
