Embarrassing reading some of the bedwetting posts in here.... totally embarrassing.

As someone who has wet the bed regards the RS I have found tonight has been weird. Chelsea were never getting anything today. The main thing was City not losing. They didn't. Its as you were with one match less to play. Thats a good day. Yet people are saying its finished in favour of Liverpool.

Hazard has his face covered and the two physios are doing their job. The only person who sees it clear as day is the ref.

I'm sorry mate but if you think that's normal behaviour what he does the way he leans forward to do it I think your a proper wrongun fella.

So you’re just ignoring the fact that the referee clearly sees it and doesn’t bat an eyelid?. You’re ignoring the watching Chelsea players, manager and bench who see it and don’t react?

No harm, no foul. Nobody complained, you’re assuming intent, and I grant you that it looks bad from the one TV angle we’ve been shown, but you also have to acknowledge that there is literally no reaction from a watching Chelsea contingent who are never quiet about airing their discontent and were stood a matter of yards away.

There is no case to answer for this one. There are plenty more to get your teeth into. Get over it and move on.

It'll get tougher than that. I see Spurs, United and Leicester as especially dangerous, even from a draw persepective.

I just cant make a realsitic case for any of Liverpool's last 4 opponents taking anything. In fact it could be a great opportunity for them to narrow that 9 goal deficit they have with City.

Liverpool will win everyone of those games by 2/3/4 goals.

It won’t come down to goal difference so that will probably be irrelevant. City either win all their games or Liverpool will take it.

We beat that Chelsea side easily. They’re making it out like a huge hurdle has been passed but City beat that lot 6-0 at home. Winning at Palace was arguably a bigger achievement. Let’s see how it looks after next weekend.

Looks like it.

Fabinho looks a brilliant DM as well, @Steve0 was right about him he's quality.

Fabinho was awful and the main reason liverpool conceded so many gilt edged chances.

Keita was poo as well.

Sarri chose the wrong players and played the ones he chose in the wrong place. Rudiger getting injured didnt help like.

Yeah thats it, really all that has changed as far as the table goes, is nothing, only they have one less chance now of City losing, were alll depressed, but this wasnt a good day for Liverpool who never lose at home anyway, city are one step closer, thats all

I wouldn’t be so sure. If City lose another one, let’s say away to United by a single goal, and Liverpool draw with lets say Cardiff (assuming they both win their other games) - then it does boil down to goal difference and Liverpool would have to make up possibly a 7 goal swing in 3 games.

Imagine them both finishing on 95 points and they lose it on goal difference, though. There would literally be an inquest to the merits of goal difference as a tiebreaker.

I could genuinely see a title playoff being instated by the PL. Not beyond the realms of belief.

The more I think about it the more I think City are a ridiculously good price.

Liverpool needed an injury to Chelsea's best defender and Hazard missing chances he puts away in his sleep to win today.
Needed an offside goal against Southampton.
A ridiculous gaffe from a goalie against spurs.
A non penalty against Fulham.
Silly error from Heaton to beat Burnley.

They're actually feeling the pressure despite what the kopite press are saying.

The extra games in the CL will count against them. They'll definitely slip up somewhere and Ciry arent losing two games.

Shame really seeing as they've spent so much money.

Stats say otherwise. Certainly played better v City once he went off. Alli, Lucas and Son a more mobile front 3.

They didnt play better against city after Kane went off. That's what some dweebs said to look cool but simply not true.

Think they had one shot after Kane went off, luckily it went it but definitely better with him.

City wont be playing mahrez or delph at left back for the return leg.

Ref sees it but doesn't do anything about it......yep I think we've been here before.

No worries mate that you think it's normal behaviour, like I said I think your a complete wrongun for seeing it like that but hey it's all about opinions so this will just be another minor thing swept under the carpet imo

If they win the league a part of me will lose hope in our future.

Daft as it sounds but in the 90's when we were gash and the PL era was in full flow I always hoped that we would one day change our fortunes and be the 1st club in the city to win the PL.

Even under Moyes when they won the CL I still held hope that a Man City takeover would befall us and we would push forward. When Moshiri came and the talk of BMD and "nothing will be the same" I genuinely hoped we would start to equal them.

Since Koemans first season its been complete free fall for us and a rise for them.

I cant see anything but a RS win this season or next as simply the other clubs around are at their weakest:

City wont win 3 titles on the bounce

Utd will do nothing under OGS

Chelsea have a transfer ban and will lose Hazard

Arsenal are Arsenal

Spurs are bottlers

They'll win it sooner or later just wish we could have sorted ourselves out in these last 3 decades.
In many ways football is a complete mess nowadays, because a small amount of clubs in Europe pretty much dominate their leagues and have millions of hangers on all over the world. Look at PSG in France, Juve in Italy, Bayern up until recently in Germany, the domination of Real and Barca in Spain. Look at the demise of Celtic and Rangers. Look at the players Celtic and Rangers once had, they couldn't dream of having those players nowadays. My view is the domination of certain clubs in the mid 2000's to late 2000's has made it almost impossible for clubs like Everton to attract top quality players, because we simply don't have the profile that teams like Liverpool, United, Chelsea and Arsenal have.
We've wasted huge amounts of money on average players and we're no closer to finishing in the top 4 than we were 10 years ago. As I said on here a few weeks ago, Liverpool aren't actually that good, when teams such as West Ham, Leicester and Everton had a go at them they weren't that impressive. They got beaten 3 times in the group stages and if if wasn't for Napoli missing a sitter they'd be out. The problem is average players are being bought for huge amounts of money, which creates the illusion they are actually quality players, when they're not.

Probably because Chelsea was viewed as the last 'tricky' fixture of the season for them, which they've now successfully navigated. It isn't a stretch to say that there's now a very good likelihood that they won't drop another point from now until the end of the season.

As good as City are, they haven't run away with it this year because a bit of complacency around Christmas cost them and the tricky reds have been like a weed that just won't die. As annoying as it is to admit, if you were to bet on either team to falter first in this run-in it'd be City, simply because if it was going to be the reds it would've happened long before now.
