Would anyone want the positions swapped over? Liverpool two points behind with a game in hand knowing that beating Spurs at home and United away probably gives them the title regardless of what City did and their best player had just come back firing fit? No.
Probably because Chelsea was viewed as the last 'tricky' fixture of the season for them, which they've now successfully navigated. It isn't a stretch to say that there's now a very good likelihood that they won't drop another point from now until the end of the season.
As good as City are, they haven't run away with it this year because a bit of complacency around Christmas cost them and the tricky reds have been like a weed that just won't die. As annoying as it is to admit, if you were to bet on either team to falter first in this run-in it'd be City, simply because if it was going to be the reds it would've happened long before now.
That a such a good point, never thought of that.Would anyone want the positions swapped over? Can someone explain to me how he wasn't sent off that? The ref sees it, he actually goes as close as possible to the fella on the deck. That's bloody disgusting that
As there was no reaction from the referee stood 2 feet away, no reaction from Hazard or the physio whom many would assume this nose-clearing was ‘directed’ at (guessing he missed as most would fume if gozzed on) and no reaction from either the watching Chelsea players or the watching Chelsea bench... it’s probably safe to assume that it was all pretty innocent / innocuous with no malice and, ultimately, no offence or damage caused.
Spurs are better without Kane.
That a such a good point, never thought of that.
Reality is the top 2 clubs are well ahead of everyone, some of us thought that Chelsea would beat Liverpool, or at least draw, but they got brushed aside with ease. But now we think, or rather worry that a poor United will hold City, or a blowing hit and cold Spurs, it's about as likely as Chelsea winning today.
I fully expect both teams to win all the games they have left without any problems.
.....there’s a paranoia, intensity and desperation within their support again. Paranoia, intensity and desperation that saw lots of usually normal people pick up bottles and throw them at Manchester City’s coach last season.
It’s why fans from other clubs are seriously hoping they fail again. It’s the height of hypocrisy they call us bitter.
