Liverpool fan discussing stats

Well yes you can. If the two disallowed goals are allowed then it's 5-3. If your two disallowed goals are chalked off then it's 3-3. Then Citeh should've had a couple of penalties.....

That second goal at Eastlands is correctly allowed then Citeh would've gone on to win comfortably, not even much debate really.
Plus the city goalie was probably concussed.

If anything the site proves my point. You're just picking a few stats to suit your argument but if you look at it in the grander scheme, Keita is in another sphere.

Going by that site he has a rating of 7.65 in an advanced midfield role (the position he will be playing for us). If this was Champ Manager (those were the days), with a rating like that i would be letting my interest be known. Sigurdsson with a rating of 6.88 which is a fair reflection.

Keita also ended up with a rating of 7.6 in the 16/17 season.

Looking at Fekir's rating for the season, it's at 7.86. Pretty incredible. As comparison, Salah had a rating of 7.48 at Roma.

I mean a site like that which uses advanced stats to compile a rating score has all of Fabiano, Keita and Fekir with one of the best scores in their respective positions in all of Europe.

Surely if you try your best to remove bias, you can agree that all the indicators are that they are all elite signings.
Why are you bothering trying to convince Blues that your new signings are world class. If they have a great season, i'll ignore them, and if you (naughty word removed) up, i'll laugh until I pass out.
Yours,
Bitter and proud.
Oh, and welcome to GoT.

Have to laugh at all the RS giving it loads over this window. We know from personal experience that nothing is guaranteed. They look like they’re gonna win our ‘transfer Window’ trophy from last season. You’d think they’d see how it maps out before giving it large.

But they have some stats from a computer game or sommet.

Like signing players based on Top Trumps for the older in here.

14 goals and 12 assists across 2 seasons in Germany is hardly ‘jaw dropping’

You lot spout utter nads.
That metric is not an advanced stat metric.

If you sat in your pants all day eating cheesy wotsits analysing alternative weightings on leagues you would realise this.

Also world cup, 2 European national cups, 4 CL an multiple league winning captains of one of the most prestigious football clubs is a mere thug. Sorry about this last paragraph but I'm still enjoying the CL spanking by Real.

Salah will still hit 20 league goals. In fact with Keita and Fekir behind him, i do expect him to hit 25-30 goals.

Thing is with the added creativity in our '8' positions, Mane and Firmino will improve their goal output by quite a bit too. Firmino should end up with 20 with the new service behind him.

Not to forget the goals that will come out of Keita and Fekir. They should get 15-20 combined which will be a massive step up from the lack of goals we got out of Milner, Wijnaldum and Can in those positions.

It would be a massive failure if we didn't get 100 league goals.
Dude that's one car crash of a post. All I understood was Liberpewl yadda yadda massive failure yadda yadda.

Just being childish now. You used the site as reference.

Here is a better reference to what we have signed:
Fekir:
Keita:
Keita (long article on a new metric called 'Packing' which a few clubs are using now):
http://www.empireofthekop.com/2017/...g-to-explain-how-good-naby-keita-actually-is/

The article basically claims the 'packing' ( lol lol lol lol ) analysis illustrates an other-worldly passing ability. His assist/ key pass stats, unfortunately, don't back up that claim.

I may have mentioned the whoscored website originally but you talked about the sensational ratings that Keita and Fekir got. You now admit they're essentially meaningless? Good.

Now two of those graphs come from 2015 and don't demonstrate an 'elite level'. You sound like a desperate man trying to convince yourself you've signed a future ballon d'or winner.

Stats say he's more Le Tallec than Ronaldo.

Right, so your 'advance stat metrics' basically mean the whoscored rating? lol

Who, according to whoscored, had the better PL season, Pogba or Mane?

Who, according to whoscored, had the better PL season, Firmino or Sterling?

Who, according to whoscored, had the better PL season, Phil Jones or Andrew robertson?

Who, according to whoscored, had the better PL season, Alexis Sanchez or Christian Eriksen?

Who, according to whoscored, had the better PL season, Idrissa Gueye or Jordan Henderson?

Who, according to whoscored, had the better PL season, Courtois or Jordan Pickford?

not an RS fan, but you clearly seem to have a bias when comparing these players, just to put down their players. Pogba and Mane play different positions, so do Firmino and Sterling. And again Phil Jones and Robertson. If youre gonna compare maybe atleast compare players in the same position. Martial/Lingard/Sanchez vs Mane, Shaw/Young vs Robertson, Firmino vs Aguero/Jesus, would be the right comparisons to make. I dont know what the stats will say about these comparisons but Sanchez vs Mane seems a more fair comparison than to compare Pogba who is a CM/AM to Mane who is clearly a winger.
