ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

You’re comparing stats whilst ignoring completely the difference in league quality.

We're not talking about the Ukranian league when it comes to analysing mediocre quality like Fred.

Ligue 1 and Bundesliga are one of the top 5 leagues in Europe, so even if there is an increase in quality here, you can't expect them to have that big of a drop off in their stat performances.

Right, so your 'advance stat metrics' basically mean the whoscored rating? lol

Christ.... you pulled up the site.

I'm going by the stat metric graphs/charts that can be widely circulated on Twitter/Blogs. All of them point to our three signings being as elite as you get. Especially in the case of Fekir and Keita.

Who, according to whoscored, had the better PL season, Pogba or Mane?

Who, according to whoscored, had the better PL season, Firmino or Sterling?

Who, according to whoscored, had the better PL season, Phil Jones or Andrew robertson?

Who, according to whoscored, had the better PL season, Alexis Sanchez or Christian Eriksen?

Who, according to whoscored, had the better PL season, Idrissa Gueye or Jordan Henderson?

Who, according to whoscored, had the better PL season, Courtois or Jordan Pickford?

Except you can. I cite the procession of flops to come from that league.

The point is we were in contention till May for both. That's all you can try to do as a club and i do feel we've now got a team to compete again for the next few seasons.

Klopp hit 76 points with a mish mash centre midfield. Now with the addition of 3 elite CM's, we could easily improve by a further say 10 - 15 points for a close fought race with City. So im not sure i agree with the thinking he can't operate a league campaign successfully.

Getting us to reach 76 points whilst navigating a gruelling CL run shows his ability in the league. Now with the midfield upgraded our points total should improve by quite a bit next season

It will be make or break for Jurgen Klopp this coming season. FSG's patience, with no Premiership as yet in his tenure, will peter out should this raft of marquee signings not produce the Holy Grail. Its all very well on paper for high octane players to score highly on stats. However, it will be a completely different ball game gelling a formation of new players as a unit especially with the baggage of their lack of Premiership experience. Keita's appalling disciplinary record will be under the microscope here too. At least the new regime will give our RS friends the chance to further expand their forensic analysis of formations with the customary graphs, pie charts and powerpoint presentations. Staples will be needing more staff on the tills Im sure.

Lad I’m not sure anyone is arsed. Your stats and graphs are nowhere near the level of the mentalist who thought Gylfi Sigurdsson was the messiah. Your manager isn’t all that, and you guys are realising that now. And eventually like all who have come before “in peace” you’ll meltdown, get banned and scuttle off back to your virgin forum and laugh at how sad you are.

Thanks for stopping by though ;)

Quick jibe at a United signing there I note.

Whereas dem red men av signed wuuurlld class yano.

Every summer is the same, the final piece of the jigsaw etc etc rinse and repeat.

I’ll have you a wager, this will be Klopps last season at the pit, and he’ll win knack all.

Just being childish now. You used the site as reference.

Here is a better reference to what we have signed:
Fekir:
Keita:
Keita (long article on a new metric called 'Packing' which a few clubs are using now):

If you can find me a finalist in the modern era with an easier run than Maribor Moscow Sevilla Porto City Roma i’ll be surprised.
