ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

I have far more faith in Ajax than I do Spurs. Ajax should be able to match the RS' intensity, which is where Barca dismally fell short last night. Ajax have the pace in their team to exploit Liverpool's full backs in behind and to a man, they are all playing the best football of their careers right now whereas Spurs are in dreadful form.

I fully expect the RS to win the final but Spurs I believe would definitely be the path of least resistance.
na spurs are still dark horses, kane and son will keep the back 4 occupied, and can keep up with their workrate,
ajax are ajax

I am sticking by my "the devil is letting them get close every year only to let them fall at the last" theory.

It has been correct for the last 5 years or so, even when all seems lost.

On that basis, I expect City and Ajax/Spurs to be the winners this year.

We have to believe

There’s no god mate if there is this would happen

They haven’t won a anything yet though. The build up will be nauseating but it’s still a 90 minute game against a very good team on a neutral venue. Klopp’s record outside of Anfield this season to decent opposition is average as is his record in finals. Let them all think they’ve won it already. The scenes if they lost another one to Ajax or especially Spurs would be unbelievable.

This all day long until they do win something this season. Until then, they've won nothing.

Bad news for those who want the City/Liverpool hegemony to be broken....Chelsea's transfer ban has been upheld.

Liverpool are not in any “hegemony” with City.

They are this season’s challengers is all.

I am more than happy to see Chelsea’s embargo upheld because I for one am reasonably optimistic we can get at them next season and push for a top four place.

All media outlets have been a total pukefest so far today...all gushing tributes to a team "that could overcome all the odds" at one of those special nights at Analfield..ive been doing shots of bleach in between sticking pins in my eyes...

It’s beyond disgusting they are the worlds worst hated club I wish they would just F off and disappear to oblivion

But sometimes “hope” is all we have, Sharpie.

And I for one am filled with it for next season on foot of our very encouraging renaissance since we stymied the RS march to EPL glory in the derby.

My view is that but for the prolonged hangover after Pickford, we would have been up there in the EL placings battle with United and Arsenal.

No reason we cannot challenge and surpass those two next season.

Chelsea ain’t all that good....they look like losing Hazard and are facing a transfer embargo.

Well vulnerable come the new season.

So yes, given another window like last summer I see no reason at all to dismiss our chances of making a sustained challenge for a CL place.

Onwards and upwards :)

Yeah mate I know exactly where you're coming from. It's just that I've been battered into submission for more years than I care to remember. But it will never stop me supporting our beloved blues 100% and I'll never give up hope. Hope is a good thing. COYB.
