I disagree. I think it underlines how mentally weak they are. Sure, they got the three points in the end when PSG failed to see the draw out. But 2-0 up had to be bettter protected than that.

They are going to be like Spurs in the CL this season: winning against some big teams but too flaky to make a dent in it.

Mentally weak teams don't score last minute winners, they concede them.

PSG have 2 star players (one of whom only plays for himself) the rest would not be a selection of Europe’s top players which is why they have gone no further than the CL quarters every year. That flaky Madrid team which was going to be blown away in Kiev sent out a second string midfield at the pace des princes last season and dismantled PSG. They are not in the upper echelon of Madrid Barcelona Bayern Juve whatever people say.

Most significant part of that was Klopp stopping his celebration when he saw Salah's scowl. THAT spells big trouble.

Salah's heads gone. They got out of jail last night when the racist scored in the last few minutes. Klopp's composure and mentality on the big occasion is suspect. Their defence looks ragged when asked a serious question.

They have a good start to the season but I've seen nothing so far that indicates a qualitative change over there. Their probable qualification from that group is welcome. They'll be asked to show themselves week in week out in the new year. It's too much for them. One major trophy in 29 years is set to become one major trophy in 30 years.

They faced one class team in the CL last season and were humiliated by them. I said at the time they'd regret getting to the final and so it proved.

It's not "mental" to dissect a game and forget the final outcome for a second to understand the overall message from the game. It's a legitimate assessment of what happened in that game: they were pressed defensively a few times and capitulated twice. The front three plus a couple of others (the Belgian RB and Silva at CB) are class for PSG but they are not heads of state in Europe. Far from it, and they went to Anfield and should have wrapped up the point they came for.

That's the reality.

Cavani and Di Maria were class but are getting old.

Rabiot couldn’t make the French squad and Marquinhos is a defender plying misfield. Thiago Silva has been a oil tanker turning for years now. Don’t even know the rest of their backline.

They’re a good team no doubt but if thatfront three don’t work (which they don’t as they get found out every season at this level). There’s not much below it. They’re a good team but a long way off the cream of Europe. That’s not a contentious claim to make.

That's the key point for me. They are not a Euro power and have no pedigree in that respect. The Barcelona's Madrids and Bayerns do this tournament every rear with their eyes shut until the SFs. The rest are fodder.

Last year "klopps gung ho approach will tire them during the second half of the season", they never tired and played the same way until the end of the season.
last year "any injuries and they will struggle", they finished the last couple of months with 3 first team midfielders and 3 first team attackers.
