I was talking about on the pitch but OFF the pitch as well.
Turnover will have a £300 million gap between us,their recruitment is way better than us and they have their best squad in the PL era, they can attract a better pedigree of player than us because they are a established CL club again, they have far better manager than us who's going to be there for 5 more years.
It's shocking how far apart the clubs are from each other right now.
Again, the time period I'm referencing is when Peter Johnson was in charge and Everton were skint. Liverpool were 6/7/8 years removed from being Champions of England. A similar time frame to United now and a league title seemed not far off for them. The gap was huge then.
Try 03/04. We finished 17th, could only afford Bent and Cahill and they were regular qualifiers for the Champions league. Another huge gap. A year or so later and they were given a huge shot in the commercial arm.
They have a very good starting 11, no way is this their best squad in the prem league era. They had better squads under Houllier and Benetiz. Klopp may not be there next year, never mind 5.
Moshi needs to punt Kenwright imo and if this stadium happens we'll be closer. Everton won't ever go past Liverpool in a commercial sense. Things are nowhere near as drastic, or postive for Liverpool, as you would have people believe.
