ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

If City turn them over it's a dent in their confidence. As @Saint Domingo rightly says, 6 wins and a draw and you'd usually expect to be 3/4 points clear even now. If after next week they're actually 5 points behind they're going to think "WTF?!". And they'll have Salah in his usual form (ie the Chelsea/Roma Salah rather than that fluke last season) and they'll know they've spent a lot of cash on players like Keita who;s not up to it, and a cameo player like Shaqiri who may or may not turn up for a game.

They've proven to be a mood club since being at their best in the 80s. Going on winning streaks and hitting purple patches and now and again threatening to grab a title. I see this outfit as being no different, despite all the BS written about them. They'll flatter to deceive. Again.

Anything less than a win there for Liverpool next week and they'd have to see that as a serious downgrading of their title hopes. And if they do win it then they still have it all to do against clubs with recent pedigree of lifting titles...which is worth about 5/6 points in any season.
How can they be 5 points behind?

Liverpool fans holding up a ‘Justice for Grenfell’ banner yesterday at Chelsea. They really can’t help themselves, can they? Thinking they’re some sort of political movement for the hard-left, all the while they’re raking in millions from tourists and decimating the area around Anfield.

Attention seeking bellends. How about going to the game to watch football and not trying to get your stupid banners on the tele to be praised.
That's a disgrace. A pisstake on Chelsea rather than any genuine concern for the victims and survivors of that fire.

A hateful bunch of unfunny barbarians.

Sorry, 3 points behind.

Shouldn't that be "we"?
so you were wrong, oh dear. And I was just using your quote for"they" as I've never hidden my allegiance.

A draw next week would be no disaster ad Liverpool have won very winnable fixtures coming up.

That's it mate, you keep your hopes up.

To be fair it was evident to everyone. How come when we were linked he was awful - yet when you buy him he's the bargain of the millennium?
What hopes? We're in the mix early doors, City are still clear favourites.

When did I say he was awful or bargain of the millennium?

He was ridiculed by Liverpool fans when he was linked to us, not yourself but I'm tarring you with the same brush.

As for you being in the mix, I'd say Chelsea and City are favourites, if United get rid of Jose - I can see them bearing down on you too. You'll run out of steam and finish in the last CL places. Vault me.

A draw would mean you;d gone unbeaten for 8 matches with 6 wins and still be behind City...in your best ever start.

That would be deflating. City are relentless and wont drop more than a handful of points. Liverpool aren't in that class. I dont think they're as good as Chelsea either - best XI v best XI.

They're utter scum. They try to make everything about themselves.
Justice 4 Grenfell is just the Manson Family saying: "look, see how WE have to do YOUR protesting for you". A dig at Chelsea fans no more than that.

It was a diosgraceful way of differentiating themselves from another club's supporters. Trampling on the meomery of those involved in a disaster.

Before this week it was all about how. Chelsea have been getting lucky etc. they’re not title contenders, how Liverpool were going to make a statement. Chelsea then beat them at home after coming from behind and are denied another win by a worldie from Sturridge. 180 minutes against an apparently dodgy defence and two unbelievable goals from Sturridge is all they mustered. Any other fan group in that position would be seeing it as a reality check, maybe it won’t be the procession we thought it was. Liverpool fans somehow have taken it as conclusive proof that they’re better than Chelsea. Utterly bizarre. Hazard has shown in 2 games that Liverpool don’t have anyone in the world class bracket now that Salah has dropped a level.

He's not really obsessing is he when we are on the thread where we make it a bare minimum to take the absolute piss at every given opportunity so I don't think the soft lad dig really works.

Oh and City won't throw away the title but if you or Chelsea win it then it will be a deserved title.

Though you won't win it and you know this already.
Fair enough with the thread I am on. I have said from day one that City will win the league. They probably will for the next few years to be honest.
