ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

ermm, yeah, that's why it's always the teams with the best squads that win the league, not best XI. If they're too thick to realise this has always been the case it exaplains why they've never won the league.

like how they've included arsenal, spurs etc in here as their "rivals", thought it was only a two horse race?

If a scenario starts to unfold where Spurs or Arsenal actually went ahead of Liverpool as their title bid unravelled then watch mayhem ensue. They told anyone who would listen it was a two horse race. They were a league above everyone apart from City according to any single RS pundit that was asked. If Sarri or Emery can come in in their first season and out perform Klopp what sort of uncomfortable truth would that send out?

Can’t wait to hear how der brave redmen claimed fourth place against all odds.
I dont think that'll be an option this season. If they get 2nd then maybe (just maybe) Klopp keeps his jon after 4 seasons withiyt a trophy (assuming the FA Cp and CL are not in the cabinet).

Jailed for three years for violent disorder? Imagine if that sentence started being applied consistently to some of der bestest fans in der world and what they’ve been upto on their travels.
That's the same amount of time the Liverpool fans got jailed for their part in the Heysel massacre on a charge of manslaughter.

I bet that doesn't go uncommented on in Italy.

Unreal.

Obviously no comment about events that preceded the attack, i.e. the disgraceful behaviour of the RS fans on the night and in the earlier round, blighting the reputation of the beautiful game.

It’s just a joke that Merseyside police are quite happy to allow Liverpool fans to smash up the City coach, plus whatever incident happened outside the ground that the City coach ended up stopping for to provide medical attention for, without so much as a single arrest being made. ‘Sorry guv they all got away, don’t recognise any of those faces’. Yet they manage to prosecute an Italian man for violent disruption resulting in a 3 year jail sentence despite not a single local fan coming under scrutiny even though there’s pictures of some bringing hammers to the match. They were also super motivated to ensure that fans in Rome were escorted around and similarly at City. Rightly so, but they can’t extend that courtesy to visiting fans. Absolute shambles.

The thread on RAWK covering this case was up in arms ealier today as the feller was found innocent of GBH...they had the perfect set up to start whingeing....then the 3 year sentence for violent disorder was handed down and they all deserted the thread.

Funny that.

I've got a weird feeling that they'll struggle a bit at Huddersfield. Don't really know why.. think it's the expectation that they'll go there and wipe the floor with them regardless of their 'injury crisis'. Probably wrong though like!
