It's sanctioned for them to break their 30 years in the desert.
They cant do it under normal circumstances, not head to head with City. They need the boost of faceless bureaucrats to hand it to them on a plate.
It;s that simple. And there will be countless other times that hapens this season...and probably a fe more in the future.
VAR is a weaponised system.
Anyone with half a brain can clearly see it. VAR is not the saviour everyone thought it would be. Give Liverpool a marginal decision, send it 200 miles away to people who don't face any criticism and inevitably uphold the decision, the ref is exonerated and the desirable outcome is achieved. The same is true the other way - don't award City a stonewall penalty and the ultimate decision-maker is an unknown quantity sat in a bunker at the other end of the country.
Davek said VAR is being weaponised and I truly believe he is right. The manipulation of games from afar should be a concern to everyone.
The debate around VAR will only change when the RS are stung by it. The establishment in this country are inherently fearful of the cultists. The Express sacked a journalist last year for daring to criticise them. As with any religious cult, they do not respond well to criticism and resort to anything in retaliation. I don't think that there is a single set of fans in the land like them. They have a manager whose style and demeanour feeds their cultist tendencies. They become more obnoxious the better they get. Someone like Roy Hodgson was never likely to succeed with them because his style and demeanour is to sober for them.
The industry demands it. They've wanted that outcome for a while, they just didn't have the delivery system to make it happen...they do now.Seriously, why though? Why would anyone prefer Liverpool win it over city, or united or whoever. Surely if there was a conspiracy it would be a Spurs or Arsenal, Chelsea.
I don’t understand these claims. It’s mental. Davek - you should jib footy off. It makes you unhappy and miserable. You even said you prefer them to lose than the toffees win. What’s the point, especially if it’s rigged like you say.
They are embarrasing.Imagine thinking they’re not a very good team
Yes I think its de rigueur for the RS to regularly have at least one dramatic faller. Pearl Drops Rodgers will have been reminiscing today on the two he had... Stevie Starfish and Suarez.Have you watched Richarlison, or Maddison? Every team has players who do it, the rs happen to have 2, Mane and Salah.
They are embarrasing.
It's different now. They've always done that. They are now backed up by a technological system when that approach fails. It'll be apllied beneficially to them, and destructively against their closest opponents(s).I’d love our players to the 93rd minute and cheat their way to 3 points

VAR is bent. Titles are determined by it. Faceless and nameless and unaccountable.
We're almost into the matrix with football. It's a dystopian nightmare.
Anyone who thinks they aren't a very good team.who??
Yeah, I hear all that mate. What I’m still struggling with is the “why?”
What's technology got to do with it? The pen was given by the ref. VAR verified it. Whether there was VAR or not, LiVARpool were awarded the pen.It is bollocks. United created chance after chance in the last minutes of the game. They didn't have a technology run by unaccountable people to give them a goal.
You're actually saying that was a pen, btw?
FFS. Give it a 'kin rest.
That comfort blanket is gettong bigger and warmer every weekThe way the commentariat now normalises these incidents is horrendous. If City had won a pen like that last minute there would be now a feverish debate across all platforms regarding all their other results in an effort to get Liverpool a leg up with decisions too. But when it's them it's not an issue.
FFS, these are the people who reported last season's City title win as Liverool's "victorious" season.
30 years without a title win; they need the authorities to step in and weaponise the technology to hand them one, otherwise theyd be here anothe 30 'kin years waiting for one.
That is the top and bottom of it.
