ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Barney Ronay.... Imagine being sat in a pub with this two-hat.

Have to admire the number of comments by Liverpool fans on that piece taking the moral high ground and celebrating Klopps journey from player to coach.

I'm going to assume that all their success in the 70s to 90s is now void or at least tainted, because the much celebrated boot room, was in essence a leg up and favouritism inhouse over hiring talented managers who'd worked their way up. To think they have the audacity to make the point of the easy path walked by Lampard, it's so one eyed. It'll still have been harder than Dagleish easy ride into management. Gerrard is playing at football management in Scotland. If he does end up as the next Liverpool manager, he's had it even easier than Lampard too. And if by then he hasn't won a title with Rangers, he's a joke.

Odd transfer policy. Selling Brewster and Hoever, two of their young players, to buy Thiago and a backup for the front three. They’re the signings of someone looking to win in the short term not laying groundwork for a dynasty.

Watching Chelsea against Brighton, they need to improve or they will get their pants pulled down.

Agreed but Liverpool vs Leeds, or any other clubs you choose to insert here that they’ve played since March, means even Chelsea of last week may still have enough.

They’ve been poor for sometime now, even pre Watford they were getting away with it and the inevitable losses were clearly coming.

Has the signing of Jota officially gone through yet.

I just want to make sure it’s definitely over the line. I’m concerned someones going to see sense here and they won’t end up wasting all that money on him.

Klopp: "we don't spend money like Chelsea, we can't afford to."

... "what's that? Jota has had a falling out at wolves, ooh, I'll spend £45m on him and stick him on the bench with my other £40m plus players on the bench like oxlade-chamberlain, keita and fabinho."

Their record signing is also higher than Chelsea's what an arrogant hypocrite. He'd still be bottling finals like Jimmy White if he was a man of his word.

No idea how anyone gets worked up about the possibility of another Covid title being won by them or anyone else.

Football ended mid-March 2020. It'll resume when we have that virus under control and not before.

You all saw how phoney it all was after the restart last *season* and the lack of status handed the winners.

Like Mandelson and people getting rich under New Labour, I am very relaxed about the prospect of a second in a row Covid title for the murderers.

Couldn't care less who wins it, just want us to vastly close the gap between ourselves and the top end of the table this season and I think we could easily do that with our Italian overlord.

You always make me feel better. Cheers
