ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

They are going to win it so the best form of attack is to keep telling them that they have got it in the bag and if it happens tell them they fully deserved it .
This will totally confuse them and if a miracle happens and City win we can rip them to bits.

Il never ever as long as I walk this earth say a single thing good about them. they have won the league this year, it’s just to much of a fix for them not to.

Because the Premier League is a totally financially driven business / organisation.
It is funded totally from the TV rights that it auctions off and sells. Their highest bidder
and biggest customer by far is SKY TV. SKY TV is funded by subscriptions. Who has the
biggest armchair fan base? Yes - United & Liverpool by far. Therefore SKY TV needs either
United or Liverpool (or preferably both) to be successful to drive and generate subscriptions and
revenues. United are a basket case at the moment so for SKY it is imperative that Liverpool
are successful. A successful Liverpool means higher revenues. Higher revenues means higher
prices can be and are paid for the TV rights. Football clubs like City & Everton just don’t have
millions of armchair fans and overseas’fans’ that SKY need - hence their lack of importance
to them. It is the same reason that SKY & BT have almost exclusively pundits and co-commentators
that are ex- Liverpool and United players. They need to pander to and serve their core customer base.
So therefore, it is good for SKY TV if Liverpool are successful and it is good for the Premier League
if SKY TV is successful. It’s all about money and nothing but the money. VAR is an absolute god send
for them. It allows bias and favouritism to be applied and nobody is to blame except faceless
administrators who are not answerable to anyone and it is all done and achieved at arms length.
Absolutely perfect...
Dont worry lad have faith in brexit/boris.... lol lol lol lol lol

It seems that whenever their moral turpitude is called into question their lot feel obliged to counter-attack with baseless accusations. The latest on RAWK being that Leicester voted Leave in the referendum (not true overall) and that Jamie Vardy is racist (possibly true - as in anyone could be - but totally baseless).
Vardy has form as a racist in fairness, but given how even martin luther barnes defended suarez and beardsley it is massively hypocritical

If VAR isn't going to stop blatant falling over in the box like that yesterday then what's the point, just get rid of it, it's frgging useless.

You see his thought process, realises there is contact takes a step then throws himself to the ground, it's farcical it really is, it's a booking for diving is what it is yet VAR allows it.

Just seen it now again on MOTD, you know the only pundit I've seen call it a dive was Kilbane on final score.

But the review could have changed the decision.

Not for that penalty it couldn't. There was contact from the defender and no infringements by the attacking side.

It's shown it isn't useless though. The last few days has seen it over-rule two poor offside decisions and award the attacking side the goal - far from useless in those circumstances.

VAR wasn't brought in to adjudicate on players going down easy under what are technically foul challenges. He milks it definitely but contact is made and the rules don't state how hard contact should be before a player can go down.

I couldn't care less if Vardy donned an SS uniform, marched up the M1 singing 'Leicester Uber Alles' and annexed Lougnborough, if he'd slotted a winner on Saturday I'd have happily bought him a pint...

Suprisingly enough!

If that's the case then Niasse's ban should be rescinded.

Contact should not mean it's an instant penalty, the force must be proportionate to making a player go down, the minimal force involved in that incident had dissipated as he took a step until he realised he could have a go at blagging a pen here so then went down rolling about on the floor.

Players should get a game ban for diving, there was talk about them doing something like that a season or two ago, can't come quick enough for me, blatant cheating it is and the RS front line is full of them.
