ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Agree to an extent mate but when you have a national paper claiming it was as bad as a near career ender challenge that the perpetrator (Keane) admitted on record was pre meditated then the insinuation is there for me that Pickford set out to try seriously injure another person.
That’s just click bait for morons though. It’s also not libellous. For it to be potentially libellous they’d have to specifically claim that he intended to harm the player, and frame it as being factual as opposed to merely a nonsense opinion.

There are some sailing close to the wind over this though. I read a tweet from a large Kopite fan site earlier that said they’d condone Pickford being leathered, that’s incitement.

The shameless hypocrisy and fictitious narratives that the cult have been peddling over this issue is beyond belief. They’re falling to pieces and the rot set in back when they played Atletico away, this merely gives them a scapegoat.

Danny Murphy reckoning Virgil Van Dijk is the best defender ever. Wow, 2 years of v good performances and he has that said about him. He's not even been the best centre half of the Premier league era, let alone football before that or around the world.
I usually swerve it but tomorrow I’ll make an exception and listen to the White show on TS, as I want to hear that cultist gobshite crying his eyes out.

I'm going to keep calm and avoid too many big conclusions. City massively missed Laporte e enormously last season. I think VVD is better, and their other defenders are a bigger drop down.

Let's see how they get on. He and Alisson took them from a 4-6th place team to a top 2 side. So its obviously a huge loss, though they remain a strong team.

yeah very much a time will tell, only my speculation. I would argue, city didnt miss laporte that much last season, but losing Fernandinho out of midfield to cover for him was the major blow.

Fair play to Spitty for calling Sourness out, the utter embarrassment. That morons biggest achievement in football and the one thing that all blues should thank him for is becoming the RS manager and absolutely destroying them. It took the RS the best part of thirty years to undo the damage he inflicted on them.

He was right when he said that no player ever goes out to hurt another professional...just like when he didn't go after Lucas Neil and he sent his mates up to Blackburn to see if they could do it for him.
