ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Read online that FSG will adopt a multi club level structure like City currently have. This will benefit them with player development and transfers o_O

Unsurprising, that's the long term future of elite football. Dunno how long it will take, maybe 100 years, but you'll end up with global franchises that have only a tenuous link to their historical origin. And a designated feeder club in each of the regional leagues supplying their best up to the superclub, as well as taking loans on from elsewhere in the group as needed.

There will still be provincial clubs outside the system, but they'll be virtually powerless in the face of the resources of the superpowers. And at the top end, all the big teams will end up in something very like that Super League proposal. Just huge name clubs fielding the world's most marketable players facing each other over and over again.

Sorry, depressed myself a bit there. Time for a pork pie to cheer up.

FSG can't afford it and in probably don't want to anyway.
You need very large amounts of free cash to go around purchasing,
funding and managing multiple football clubs around the world.
Barca in their heyday tried it when the current City CEO Ferran Soriano
was running Barcelona (it's his idea and brainchild). They eventually had to
ditch the idea due to the massive costs involved. It's one of the reasons why City are
streets ahead of Liverpool regarding future developments and player acquisitions.
Let's be honest, Liverpool couldn't even afford to buy a decent centre back
a couple of months ago, never mind a global football empire.

You’re banking on Joe public wanting to watch that week in week out and I for one wouldn’t.

What kinda pork pie? Standard or fancy one with cranberries on top?

Back on depressing topic - it does feel like that is the model favoured by the so called bigger clubs doesn't it?

theyv claimed the villarreal goalie,he did it for allisson and his family apparently!!

So basically a club they wanted to exclude from Europe and change the rules to ensure they would never be worthy of playing them, defeated one of their mates who they organised the breakaway with, who's chairman they plastered all over their website and they are claiming it as a win. That was a defeat for them, and every one of the greedy 14 clubs who pushed the plan through, and again shows the pure stupidity of saying a club like Spurs have more right to be an a competition over a teamlike Villareal.
