ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

He's said he's a Liverpool fan and loves Klopp and Liverpool were interested. He still stayed in Paris because FSG wouldn't pay what was required. He isn't going to Liverpool anytime in the foreseeable future. Salah on the other hand is going to be more than a bit miffed. This will cost them, either in increased wages for Salah or when he leaves on a free.
There is a sea change now in Football letting players contracts run down, if they renew you are paying off a sign on fee again and wages for the next 4-5 years, especially for players at 28-29-30 it makes economic sense to let players contracts rundown and let some other club have the burden of paying of them increased wages, and in the final season of their contract look for the replacement.

Look at these big name free agents Pogba, Dybala, Mbappe, Rudiger, Kessie, Dembele, Christiansen, Di Maria, Insigne, Sule, Kamara, Ginter, Azpelicueta contracts all run out next wednesday.

The top clubs make so much money they don't even feel the hit much letting players go for free for anymore as wages have gone up so much, instead of resigning on bigger wages, you put that potential 5 year contract wages to a transfer fee on a younger replacement on lower wages.

Seems to be the same modus operandi of American sports teams in dealing with free agents, you only renew them if they are the right age profile and an immense talent, and someone you build your side around, Mbappe fits that criteria to a tee and why PSG pulled out all the stops in signing a new deal.

Salah is asking for £400k a week and about to hit 30, FSG will just follow the American model and let a ageing veteran player go as a free agent and let someone else give him that crazy money and have someone younger scouted for the previous year or two and ready in place.

So… what are your views on holding a parade on the anniversary of Heysel ?

Jesus, what's their rationale for that?

Less points, less games won, less goals scored, same goals conceded than City.

But even without city, I'd argue Howe should have had it.

Probably because they are on for the precedented triple. Which is nothing to do with premier league.
No injuries, hes had everything in his favour he couldn't of hand picked his fixtures any better , he had a winter break due to getting games called off with embarrassing claims over false positives, he used international fixtures to rest his players with false injuries, his team would of been nowhere near a trophy if they had been refereed the same as Everton.

So about this parade...

Horrible, entitled, scumbags.
Don't worry, it's obviously the club (and to an extent the city council) who are out of touch on this. I have little doubt the knowledgable and sensitive fanbase will soon put them straight on the issue of the Heysel anniversary. They put them straight over ticket prices, and the furlough issue, and also the european super league. You just watch, the liverpool fans will let their club know how insensitive it is to hold a parade on this date.

Wlon't they?

The best way to have a tribute would be not to have a parade on that day. That's not just LFC either. If we were having a parade, I'd be averse to it being on a day of a football disaster. Very odd timing. Hopefully people do the right thing and vote with their feet.
They just dont give a flying one.

They're going to "remember" the 39 killed at Heysel....in between getting bladdered and whooping it up and letting rockets off.

That just wont cut it, I'm afraid.

And shame on the media that cosy up to them covering up all their wrongdoing.
