ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

This. I took the quote of 70% of RS tickets being fake to mean that when they opened the gates at 6pm, 2 out of every 3 attempts to enter was invalid. This could have been only a thousand in total but would have been sufficient to cause the authorities to panic and start closing gates.

I see that they already preparing their response for when the fake ticket issue is proved to be the cause of the problems. 5 live had a "ticket expert" on this morning claiming the blag ticket issue was UEFA's fault for not monitoring the internet in the weeks before the match.
A TICKET EXPERT! What the actual F#£&. How much is he getting paid.

All this moaning could jeopardise their hot ball draw.. no Porto, Benfica and Moldovan Farmers for you beauts.. Here you go - Real Madrid (again), Dortmund and Ajax..

BTW who has been on their site to report all the stolen and jarg tickets floating about when they were "trying to get in"..

But you insisted fans turned up late, which UEFA have now said not to be the case?

So you are believing your government minister's clear lie about up to 40,000 ticketless fans turning up at the stadium? Which all the major outlets in France are questioning?

You are saying there's no responsibility to the police or UEFA or the authorities at all?

Here is my take on it and I could be way off the mark here.

1000s of ticketless or blag ticket fans knew they had to run up early to have multiple opportunities to try and get in the stadium by hook or by crook. If they get rejected first time, they go the next checkpoint or turnstile and try with someone else. Basic rule of trying to sneak in. By trying even once, but probably multiple times, they cause delays to further fans behind them. These are the fans that would kick and scream at staff and probably tried to scale the fence or causing disruption to the authorities up to -3 hours before kick off.

The true fans with tickets probably did rock up a little later with legitimate tickets thinking they would walk right in with their valid ticket.
Due to disruption earlier by the entitled mob, the police had had enough by this time and anyone with a red shirt on trying to gain entry we’re not getting a nice welcome. Near kick off time realising they were at capacity the police had 2 options.
- let them in and overcrowd the stadium.
- control the crowd (with and without valid tickets at this point) and get them away from the stadium.

The police imo chose the latter. And innocent fans were unfortunately affected by this.

There is blame on all sides from what I can see, but if ticketless and blag ticket fans stayed away, it would not have got to the situation it turned into.

I could well be wrong of course, but I don’t think I am.

You are not a Scouser as you've stated so I don't think you will know anything about the criminal element in this city, they will do anything to make money. They won't be printing a few hundred blags, more like thousands upon thousands, these are then passed on to their seller's. These will then target the buyer's at fanzones, pubs and outside grounds, even during travel. I've seen first hand lots of times people with wads of them offloading them. As kick off nears the prices are reduced drastically and then even given away. The only thing ridiculous about the French saying 40,000 is that they have probably greatly underestimated.
Spot on . It’s impossible for someone for doesn’t live amongst it to understand the depths certain scousers go to making money . we are on another level to other city’s . Look at the drug trade for example scousers run it in this country. These same people preach socialist values yet won’t work and are anti establishment. This type of scouser are the hungriest for money and in all honesty it’s sickening the lengths they go to make it . It’s the same with the crowd who have to be at every major event By whatever means necessary. There’s no wonder scousers are feared in Ibiza and at festivals.
This behaviour trickles down to the non scousers I’ve seen it with everton .

but @BlueToff is the expert apparently.

I think there is some confusion in the 30-40,000 figure, I read it as there were 30-40k attempts, so in your assessment, 10k blag tickets, each one tried 3 or 4 times at the turnstile before the presenter gets turned away.
Exactly . they don’t try one turnstile get knocked back then give up. They try everyone til it works or they are nicked

And even that is clearly nonsensical and has been called out at such.

Anyway I'm done, I just checked the site and thought I'd reply.

I just hope something similar doesn't happen to us next time we ever get to go to France or Spain or the like on a proper European away.

I'd trust that our fans would behave better than RS ones. I also saw what happened in Lille for no reason.
Thank god that you are done

Since you've tagged me, no I'm not a scouser, I didn't claim to be an expert on scousers.

But you're the one that sounds like Tony Evans here pal. There's scroats from everywhere, every walk of life. I'm sure some of them - plenty of them - were at the Stade de France the other day, and those people need to be held accountable.

Doesn't mean the policing or authorities were right, doesn't mean UEFA were right to lie about fans turning up late, doesn't make it all okay that it happened. Perhaps if the police hadn't reacted like they did, to whoever they reacted to, then we'd have been able to see all these problems were definitely down to those criminal scouse masterminds that are a different breed to anyone else.

Let's hope there's more transparency going forward then it can be clear what happened either way.
