ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

when the French authorities produce thousands of tickets and say heres the reason, I wont be letting the kopites and there apologists off. not for a second.
the sooner a light is shone on the culture of criminality the better, they never face and change it otherwise.
AFAIK the entry was by scanning a barcode. The tickets would not have been kept by the stewards at the turnstiles

I dont think this will reach a conclusion, just a lot of he said she said back and forth.

From what ive read I still dont really blame the Liverpool fans, I know, not the narrative, but a mixture of heavy-handed French police and some local French scallywags would be where I would be pointing most of the fingers personally.

Yes Liverpool didnt help themselves with their manager telling them to travel over and posting blag tickets on social media, but the majority of my fingers are pointed at Le French.
Doesn't account for far less of the problems you mention manifesting at the Madrid end; problems yes, but far less.

Anyway, it's a boring issue that the kopites will think people care about. I agree with above, we should concentrate on congratulating them on their quad...... oh wait THEY DIDN'T WIN IT!

But if you got in with a fake ticket would you keep it on you?
If asked to produce it again as you are in a stairwell or someone else's seat you risk being caught with a fake ticket which is worse than saying I've lost it.
There will be a fair few fake tickets going round. Plus some will have been confiscated when being caught.

Within the context of an impending trade war, inflation, a crisis in Northern Ireland etc, an English team, turning up mob handed to France, and trying to take the p1ss at a stadium that has suffered a terrorist incident is always likely to get roundly condemned by the French authorities.

I know Kopites with their usual narcissistic sense of entitlement think it's all about them as usual, but there is a much bigger narrative at play here.

The French are not going to back down. And in honesty, given the way the English government are behaving over the last 4 or 5 years, you cant really blame them. This is the country that wants to kill people in the channel by sending them back on a dangerous journey, than do the right thing by refugees. They are not going to moralised to, and frankly we have lost that right after the behaviour of our government (the same government so many Kopites seem very eager to want to side with on this).

That really is the mystery in this. Why were there few issues before the game with the Madrid fans?

Did Ancelotti tell supporters without tickets to turn up? I'd be interested to know the answer to that.

If that was the case Roydo, why was the Liverpool end empty 10 mins before the sceduled kick-off time?
Pictures don’t lie and the pictures /videos of the stadium emergency exits / walkways in the Liverpool end full of people standing up because there was no seats for them says everything. The emergency exits were full for one reason only people bunking in and blag tickets being used. FFS the evidence is there for all to see if only official ticket holders were in the ground every one would have a seat and no one would have to stand up blocking EMERGENCY EXiITS

well there were thousands of them seized in a raid in Winsford so it is incredulous to believe the ticket heist is centred in the crime Kingdom of Winsford. There will have been multiple thousand fake tickets in circulation, causing multiple types of problems, genuine ticket holders who couldn't get in were (rightly) upset and kicking off because they couldn't get in, and ticketless customers jumping barriers. The French police had a very difficult and dynamic problem(s) to sort out, they did it without lives being lost. It is well known that their method of policing is very different to ours, so don't go whining if you act up and get a baton round your legs,

Britain's 'esteemed' fourth estate: a more obsequious, toadying, brown-nosing, complaisant, sycophantic [Poor language removed]-breed, you will find hard to locate elsewhere, anywhere, in the Western first world ...outside USA possibly.

That RS side has been exposed what it is this season. A team of flat-track bullies that's perfectly capable of slapping around far weaker teams that show up already beaten (because they make hard work of poor teams that actually do put up a fight) but have absolutely nothing offer (other then praying for pens) when faced with an opponent that's either on a par with them or better.
