ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

That entire article can be boiled down to "they're probably cheating but so what"

Yep. Love how the conclusion to the paragraph states that "it is not known whether or not Salbutamol enhances performance". Well, if they didn't think it enhanced performance then they wouldn't be taking it on an industrial scale, would they?

I have no doubt that they are abusing the Salbutamol exemption for asthmatics. I reckon that they have declared their squad to be wholly asthmatic and nobody has questioned it. What it needs is for the truth to be leaked with incontrovertible evidence about who in their squad has declared themselves to be asthmatic. As it stands, however, the Establishment club are free to go about their business unobstructed and losing six home games in a row can still be considered to be "one of those things".

They had to stop short of an outright accusation for obvious reasons.

Sadly it may take one of their players to fall ill because of the abuse before it is properly looked into.

It's still on this twitter account...

As asthma suffer, I feel I should point out that the drugs shown in that pic are not salbutamol, but Symbicort. It is an asthma drug and a steroid, but is used long term rather than Salbutamol which is a short term hit that opens your airways.
Symbicort (budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate) is a combination of a steroid and a long-acting bronchodilator used to prevent bronchospasm in people with asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

Netflix there is your new scandal to investigate

In my mid 40s I was reluctantly prescribed the red inhaler , I was told I wouldn't be getting anything stronger and I should absolutely not be on red a inhaler at my age , it was given to me to help with my quality of life, they are cheating at best at worst they are using the players like lab rats and as usual dont care about the cost of people's lives.

The whole same thing was raised a few years ago with the Sky Pro cycling team. Prinipaly about Chris Froome who won the tour de France 4 times.
Several in the squad had medical certificates allowing them to puff away, always claiming it was not performance enhancing.
