ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

there are many many players in the premier league who have ability on the ball, what sets TAA out from those is that he is indulged and doesn't have to do other parts of the game to give him a bit of time and space for his Hollywood balls. Just another show pony. He reminds me of late career Stevie Me, he used to fling Hollywood balls into the crowd all game but the one that got home to a RS player would be creamed over and played on the highlights reel (the others would be conveniently lost in the cut)
Absolutely spot on that. He's a Gerrard wannabe.

Stripped of the utter BS that the Establishment Club's media flatter them with this is nearer the reality of the situation and why they won't win any title any time soon.

B- and B players:

Endo
Jones
Elliot
Tsimakis
Gakpo
Gravenberch
Szoboszlai
Nunez
Van Dijk

B+ players:

Diaz
Konate
Gomez
Alexander-Whatever
Robertson
McAllister
Allison
Jota
Matip

A players:

Salah

They have one player who could even be spoken credibly of as world class. The rest are either above decent PL quality or bang average PL quality or even below that.

Of course the MOTD analysis is a feature on ‘Trent’ and then how it was actually an Odegaard handball and Arsenal got lucky. Nothing about Arsenal actually taking points at Anfield and staying top at Christmas. Few unhappy people at the BBC after that result.
Didn't mention that if when Trent went on that brilliant run up the field he completely got in the way of his team mate who was about to shoot.

I see Captain Van der Valk got away with another 'anyone else wouldve been booked' incident yesterday. Apparently, after the RS not getting a decision, he asked the referee if he had been drinking and did the swallowing ale gesture too. Skipper's example - respect the ref hey. Of course, the ref laughed it off.
Oh for the good old days when the whole team regularly surrounded the ref frothing at the mouth effin n blindin. Good to see that the slap on the wrist the club was given then is bearing fruit.

Allison, Alexander Arnold and Salah would get in any team in the world. The rest of them are generally decent players but they're certainly nowhere near the team that came 2nd to City and then led the league before COVID. Unfortunately City are way worse than they were then. There's no outstanding team in the league this season, which gives them a decent chance of winning it

Allison is well off the pace of being a top GK. He's prone to a load of howlers. Maybe his injures are catching up with him. 'Trent' - I'm afraid you've fallen for the Kopite media's hype there.

He's a terrible FB now attempting to resurrect a career in midfield. In fact, I was in two minds whether to place him in the B+ category. Yes, he strikes a ball well and scores a few eye-catching goals and sets up a fair few goals, but to say he walks into any team in the world is utter BS.

Alexander Arnold is quick, can deliver a massive variety of passes with both feet, and has a good eye for goal. He's an incredibly good player. I agree for most teams he wouldn't be the right back but he's an incredibly good player and you're blinkered if you can't see that.

One of the weirdest things I’ve seen in recent weeks is the cult around Endo, they’ve utterly convinced themselves they weren’t stiffed by every half decent midfielder in Europe and Endo isnt a cheap clogger, but a world class midfielder. I’ve seen similar tweets to the one below about Caicedo and Fernadez as well in recent weeks.

As a collective cult they can convince themselves and believe almost anything, we thought it would be A.I. that could take civilisation out, but the programming collectively these as a cult can convince themselves off is frightening.

Is he the reason that Anfield is half full of Japanese people?

I've never seen so many Japanese supporters outside of the Bundesliga.

The words "spraying balls of wisdom, stevie G" springs to mind...and he's about half the player GBH was.

Honestly, you've drank the Establishment Club Kool Aid on this.

'Treant' is a good player with a good engine and can pick a pass out. Let's just agree to agree on that and not flatter the spanner any more than he should be.

You're entitled to your opinion, albeit pretty much every pundit would disagree with you. I also happen to think that Gerrard was an amazing player, without whom the rs would have won nothing for a decade, but let's not open that can of worms lol
