ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Apart from the game when we had the FSW, I can't remember the last time they played well at Goodison
Correct.

They occasionally come to Goodison and ass whip us...occasionally. But the vast majority of times they are neutralised or beaten.

Of course, these statistics will be ignored by supporters of ours who coil up like a battered pup at the prospect of facing Liverpool.

I'd happily play them 10 times per season no matter what circumstances we're in. Every time we play them is a chance to beat them or injure their players.

No, just no. Let us not descend into petty 'I hope we injure their players' childish nonsense.

I hate derbies but I do agree that we do OK in Goodison derbies especially. When people say 'No win in...../one win in x amount of games' they really are taking the actual results out of context with the amount of draws there are recently. I think both sides would generally take a draw before the game.

My apathy with football at the top level, in general, means that am not getting worked up about next week or any other week, for that matter. Final whistle goes now, I get on with my life. It is just not worth it and never has been.

Sorry Dave, you’re impressively wrong.

  1. Liverpool wins at Goodison Park: 45%
  2. Everton wins at Goodison Park: 27%
  3. Draws at Goodison Park: 28%
