ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Read some liverpool fans want liverpool fc to pull.out of the league next season if they dont get the title awarded if it void.

We have 2 emergency hospitals being built, a massive morgue being build. Wtf. Just sit tight as they might be awarded the title. Who cares right now.

They are even suggesting that their new sponsor Nike will sue. That club better not embarrassed the city of liverpool again. We will lucky of the new season starts on time.
Good. I haven't seen Leeds fans ect whining on social media, and avoiding could literally ruin them. Honest to god, Liverpool fans are the worst self-entitled #&#%@%#*$ on the planet. The actual match going sensible ones, are like oh it's gutting but there's more important things.

I don't think their owners will pursue such a course of action, but if such a thing was mentioned, the league should pounce and just tell them to leave. Liverpool need the PL far more than the PL needs Liverpool. If they left now, they'd be bust within 12 months. I couldn't see them getting into another league.

As for the 2nd point, Nike/New Balance is going to get really messy. There is another court case due for appeal. Questionable whether Nike will even fight it. The potential to sell shirts on the back of this has massively declined and may take years to recover. Also LFC are being sued when this new season starts, as which shirt are they going to where if they lift the trophy? Whoever doesn't get that right will sue. So thats unavoidable at this stage.

Too late, they already blew that opportunity.

As soon as footy was suspended they should have come out and said that they don't care about the league title, all that mattered was protecting people and minimising the risk the lives of human beings and rs supporters. It was the right move from a moral and PR point of view, most of the world would have thought it was a noble sentiment that would have been remembered even if the league was voided.

Instead the club and fanbase have laid themselves bare as self entitled and arrogant as they use every medium and anyone with the most tenuous connection to them to spin their tale of how the league needs to go on, they need to be champions, the unfairness of how this is happening to them and how they are the priority. Entirely lacking in compassion and empathy and whatever they do now it will never make up for their actions and words while people fight for their lives.

I've always hated them as a rival football club but I honestly think they are beyond contempt now.

I want all you rs lurkers to remember this in a couple of years when klopp or carragher is preaching about the value of life at the Hillsborough remembrance. It doesn't matter now what they say, you've now seen the actual priority and value they put in human lives. Not as much as getting red ribbons on a shiny cup.

Holocaust of a football club that I wish could be expunged from history.
Well said and 100 percent accurate.

Things like this just make me realise how out of touch with the fans modern footballers are.

Get a grip of yourself, Mark, and shove this idea up your arse.

Most people who don’t like football don’t know what that song is Mark. Why don’t you and all the other footballers do something useful like maybe donate the testing kits you all seem to get so easily to the people that you know, actually need it?
