ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

In the Telegraph Sport section today, Jamie Carragher has selected his Premiership 'team of the season'. He has 7 Liverpool players in the team! You could ask the question 'why did they let an ex Liverpool player choose the team?' Well, he is probably more impartial than the rest of the Telegraph sports journalists who would have probably had 10 Liverpool players, plus a goalie.

The amount of sports journalists and I use that term very lightly coming out of the woodwork and showing absolutely no understanding for the circumstances surrounding the league being voided and absolutely no understanding of a global pandemic suggests that maybe journalists need to pass some form of exam or intelligence test before getting a job?

The standard and content of the daily kopite media spin machine is lamentable.

Absolutely needs their head testing, it's basically funding football terrorism at this point.

“Only two weeks ago, but it seems like it was a long time ago that we played Atlético de Madrid . I remember, we all knew about the coronavirus situation worldwide, but we were still 'in our bubble'. And we didn't have it in our heads, ”he explained.

"We played the Bournemouth game on Saturday, we won it, then on Sunday, [ Manchester ] City lost, so the information for us was 'two wins' [to win the Premier League title ]. But then, on Monday morning, I woke up and heard about the situation in Madrid , that schools and universities would be closed from Wednesday, so it was really strange to prepare for that game, to be honest, "he said.

"I don't usually struggle with things around me, I can build barriers from right to left when preparing for a game, but at the time it was really difficult, " he continued.

Well that's perfectly reasonable, I'm sure the situation in Madrid was much harder for klopp and the rs than Athletico.

Mad, isn't it.

Couldn't just say 'we didn't know if we were going to play because of the situation' or whatever. Has to make it about him getting out of the bed and being horrified by Sky News.

If only he had degraded himself under the covers watching Suzanna Reid hoping that the camera doesn't switch to Piers Morgan at the point of climax like a normal person they could still be in the competition.

Slender margins at that level.

Dominic King was on Talk Sport last night saying we have to finish the season and anyone who says otherwise has an agenda !!
