ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

The standard and content of the daily kopite media spin machine is lamentable.

Any Blue who buys or supports:

The Echo
The Telegraph
Daily Mirror

Absolutely needs their head testing, it's basically funding football terrorism at this point.
I think it's pretty much all the newspapers and the media who love them, you can just tell by their endless praise of the RS fans and their amusing antics. How many times do they endlessly focus on the playing of YNWA, or some other stupid story about their fans. The Echo is a joke, I've told my da to stop buying it, because it's an absolute joke. It's a shame really because in the past I thought the Echo was a relatively good newspaper, it pushed for justice for the Hillsborough victims, tried to give people a voice who wouldn't usually get it and report on a mix of good and bad things.

However nowadays I couldn't read the Echo, unless in the presence of a suicide counsellor it's that bad. All this garbage about loveable rogues after somebody get's shot or "blasted" as the Echo used to report to give them some street cred. It's always used to amuse me when they reported on a shooting and they would interview somebody who would say things like this don't usually happen, talking about North Liverpool as if their reporters were visiting Juarez. It was hilarious reading some divvy from the Echo who was expecting the season still to be played soon, when pubs and restaurants are not going to open for at least a month. I don't know why they allow RS reporters to report on us, they know they aren't going to say anything useful but still give them a platform. I remember at one stage they kept on asking stupid questions to Jags that they knew he couldn't possibly answer, he was never gonna bad mouth his team mates. They never asked Gerrard about all his useless teamates.

Too late, they already blew that opportunity.

As soon as footy was suspended they should have come out and said that they don't care about the league title, all that mattered was protecting people and minimising the risk the lives of human beings and rs supporters. It was the right move from a moral and PR point of view, most of the world would have thought it was a noble sentiment that would have been remembered even if the league was voided.

Instead the club and fanbase have laid themselves bare as self entitled and arrogant as they use every medium and anyone with the most tenuous connection to them to spin their tale of how the league needs to go on, they need to be champions, the unfairness of how this is happening to them and how they are the priority. Entirely lacking in compassion and empathy and whatever they do now it will never make up for their actions and words while people fight for their lives.

I've always hated them as a rival football club but I honestly think they are beyond contempt now.

I want all you rs lurkers to remember this in a couple of years when klopp or carragher is preaching about the value of life at the Hillsborough remembrance. It doesn't matter now what they say, you've now seen the actual priority and value they put in human lives. Not as much as getting red ribbons on a shiny cup.

Holocaust of a football club that I wish could be expunged from history.
Bingo, my feelings towards them have gone from loathing to absolute horror

Jesus.

That's actually going to happen isn't it?

Along with the campaign to make it the Christmas number 1.
It wont happen mate. In 1985, it was released in support of the Bradford fire. They were unable to do it in 1989 for Hillbrough because of this iirc. Being a cynic and their previous, Im sure they will have some sort of block on it being used. Probably a trademark as they seem to want to do with anything connected with them.

our regional cry baby cameron dunn has posted another article saying that the RS have beaten our record for the highest % of 1 goal wins in a title winning season. Completely ignoring the fact that a) they're not champions, b) that % will change in any scenario and c) it may be the case that they won't even become champions. They have to be the only fanbase who celebrate everything prematurely.

Good point.

Unless...

"Special dispensation."

When they smashed an opposing team’s bus and injured medical staff, all the papers just glossed over it. Just another special European night at Anfield.

And so it starts... In case anyone forgotten, this is about them, ok?

Even above potentially being denied the title, or having to suspend normal life to font this thing off, it will be the lack of attention on them that will annoy them most. It’s always got to be ‘look at us’ all the time with that club. Any tragedy imaginable they’re there immediately making it all about themselves, the anthem is out, their slogan is all over it, often a wreath. They’re absolutely despicable.

Without doubt the strangest club on the planet. 100% they’re going to add an NHS flag to their staged pantomime every home game in the Kop from now on.

Ironically their club's actions (forced or otherwise) against Athletico - will have impacted the cases in the Liverpool and outlying area, but I'm pretty sure this will be conveniently brushed under the already bulging carpet of theirs.

and D: They didn't play as many games as us on account of, y'know, not playing all their games.
