Somebody on ‘the Ale House’ forum posted that they don’t understand the difference between the words ‘effect’ and ‘affect’.
Effect: noun. Example: ‘Drink effected his ability to walk in a straight line’.
Affect: Verb. Example: ‘He was visibly affected by the event’.
Affected: Adjective. Example: ‘ Danny Murphy’s accent is affected’.
Actually what I have read from their hordes is not so much that they care if their organisation is using furlough, but rather that opposition fans are going to slate them for it.To be fair to their fans, they've are not happy about the club furloughing none playing staff. I was expecting them to make every excuse possible, but even they realise it is shithouse behaviour from their club.
