ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I see RAWK have closed the thread on us (Man City) but all other clubs are still open.
We are not their rivals though and we are not getting to them in anyway at all... :)
Love it!
Where will city's oddballs post nonsensical stuff about how City's net spend being in some strange way more worthy than the rs's spend. I presume that's what people do on other club's forums about their actual club after reading the infiltrators on this thread.

I honestly don't look at RAWK. I don't think I could survive my brain oozing out of my ears after reading their nonsense. I suppose they might have threads like: Snappy Banner Ideas in less than 150 words, Where in London is Anfield?, What's the best way to lob a brick from on top of a police car at a slow moving bus? Reasons why the real European derby rivalry is Liverpool versus Barcelona or Real Madrid or one of them big clubs who don't actually care about us?

My personal favourite was how they should move all disabled fans from the Kop into one of the stands. It was one of the most fascinating reads ever and tells you why you should just laugh in the face of every kopite when the topic changes to football.

The City stuff to me just shows how shallow they are as a fan base. For years it was all about United, how awful United were, how it's a disgrace anyone could like them etc. Now another team starts winning leagues, those same principles are effortlessly transferred across to a side that they used to hold up as good cop before.

As it happens, I've always preferred City to United. It's actually quite nice now, not to see them revelling in United's misery as I can do so without having to have the slight guilt that some Kopites are enjoying it too.

The District Judges quotes are right on point and scathing.

He comes across pompous and arrogant and he's probably given the cops all sorts of bad manners, id loved to have seen the statements on his case.

just a shame he'll only do 5 weeks
Apparently, they’ve already started to lodge an appeal over the sentence, so I suspect that they’ll ask a crown judge to provide bail in the meantime.

It’ll be interesting how that pans out...

Lance Armstrong says hi.

In all seriousness I've read a lot about the doping in pro cycling, Paul Kimmage's book is a really good read about why many pro cyclist, even average ones, dope up. French rugby team allegedly took speed before test match v All Blacks in 1986. With the money at stake these days I am sure that sooner or later we will start to hear about how it is taking place in football.
The documentary about lance Armstrong opened my eyes, doping doesn't give you the edge it's more than that, its Impossible for someone who's not using to physically challenge them, the sport with most money and the least testing is going to be infested with cheats, kick and run football is the perfect system for it.

surprised it wasn't done already unless they are trying to get it in front of a different DJ.
Anytime you get a result like that you would always ask that the judge fix bail for appeal and that he defendant is released pending the appeal. it would be interesting to see the papers on it and see if he has any record as it does seem a bit harsh.

It wasn’t a one off refusal, rather four or five over a sustained period of time, so that’ll have played a part. I suspect there’ll be other mitigating aspects.

They’ll ask for a judicial review at the crown (won’t be a DJ) and he’ll get an interim ban in the meantime; if he refuses that, then it’ll be thrown out.

With his claim that he couldn’t do community based work because of his ‘travels’ and ‘punditry’, I suspect that will have forced the hand.

I suspect he will get bail and eventually a sentence reduced to say six, but he will do time though - I’m sure of it.

We've spent a huge amount (500m in 3 years) relative to the sides above us

Which teams above us? Obviously you can't be referring to City. If you meant United that would be weird as well...Pogba, Maguire, Lukaku, Sanchez. Chelsea are no longer the free spending behemoths of a decade ago but they've still easily outspent Everton.

We've spent £380m in transfers in the last three years and Liverpool have spent £320m, however Liverpool's wage bill is more than £100m per year than ours.

Over the last 3 years they've spent over a £1billion in transfers and wages whereas Everton have spent roughly £750m. Spurs are probably the only team above us who have spent less and they're beginning to struggle a little bit.

tl;dr you're wrong as wrong can be
