ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

No mate your right. Can't compete with city. Got no money and only buy on the cheap. Hang on, how much did Nunez cost and how much was Gakpoo. Oh and who else have they signed. Carvalho and who else.

They’ve bought 6 world class forwards, all for fees above 30 mill (I think Firmino was the cheapest at 29 mill). It’s a complete myth that they can’t compete financially, they chuck more cash a round than the majority of teams in Europe.

Exactly!

Nunez - £130m
Diaz - £70m
Jota - £60m
Firmino £40m
Gakpo - £60m
Salah - £50m

At least £310m on a frontline!

They absolutely do not have 6 'World-class' forwards.

They’re all pretty good. Firmino is on the decline a bit but will still score a fair amount of PL goals. The rest are all top international forwards. World class might be stretching it but it’s still a huge array of attacking power that few teams in Europe possess. They’ve paid big fees for them as well. It’s just a complete myth that they don’t spend money. They’re one of the clubs that massively inflate the market with the huge fees they throw around in players.

Always weary of a signing from the Netherlands.

I may have missed it, but when was the last player to move directly from the Eredivisie to the Premier League actually any good?

I’ve got Suarez as the last? But probably missed someone along the way?
Not sure, but I'm always wary of people that dismiss players just because of the league they play in. It seems a very lazy way of judging a player.
