It's takes a very talented writer to make the saccharine seem sincere, no doubt he has genuine affection for the charity, but this passage or the public nature of the exact sum of 96k, doesn't really do him any favours. to be fair you could see a lot of people throwing coins at Suarez when he was taking the corner which I thought was out of line. but I really doubt people were chanting about wall pushing. It's not really something most Evertonians take lightly.

The two derbies showed up exactly how good they are.

Both away sides were awful but they managed to score 3 goals and steal a draw and we got hammered. I don't actually think we were any worse at anfield than they were at goodison but they can score goals when the game isn't going for them and we can't.

Still think we can catch them but it won't be at all easy when they have top goalscorers in the team who can grab goals all the time.

Suarez and Sturridge are fantastic, what we'd give for strikers as clinical as them.

When they've got a fully fit starting XI they're a more than decent team. They didn't have that tonight and still beat us at a canter, credit to Rodgers for getting his tactics spot on.
