i thought howad was 4, distin was 6 and stones was 2?

i have no idea though, people keep quoting kone as £6m and oviedo as £5m, so who really knows these days.

they have plenty of squad players like xavi allen who cost £15m as well, whereas we have a few more frees and low prices. still think we have a better deeper squad like, maybe blue tinted - i dunno.

suarez and sturridge get injured they're utterly screwed, they're looking at aspas and borini. we get say lukaku and mirallas/barkley? injured and we're coping a lot better.

The cost comparisons are interesting but the inclusion of loan players is a bit misleading as Everton don't own these 3 players and to do so would require spending significant cash. The point is that the £0 figures don't represent the value of those players. Moreover, for a Everton to sustain a challenge over time the loan system has a limited use.

It does however represent quite well what they cost us. Johnson is not worth anywhere near £18m, but it s what he cost them. Sakho is probably worth £4m top price, but he cost them more than that.

Liverpool, while being the third highest spenders in the premier league since its inception, and currently the highest spenders in European league competions to have never won their title, are screaming that they are doing it for the downtrodden and socially poor supporters. Its all aload of rubbish, complete tosh. The fact is mate, a large part of their backroom staff and owners, are massively Right Wing. John W Henry himself in particular. But that doesn't matter like, cause he's giving them money.........

We paid a couple million quid to both Chelsea and Citeh for Lukaku and Barry respectively plus whatever we paid Barcelona for Gerald.

That's what we paid for them.....simple as.

What they might be worth if their clubs were punting them is moot as either the clubs didn't want to part with them (like Chelsea and Barca with the players they loaned us) or the players themselves weren't going to leave and take a pay cut (as in Barry's case).

To take Samuel's logic to its ultimate conclusion he might as well say we have the services Seamus Coleman and Ross Barkley, a pair of players worth what, about £60 million on the open market today and whom we paid next to nothing for.

Yes, you could say our squad on paper is worth a gazillion pounds but that is sod all to do with owt.

But we're cheating lad. We have players that are worth more than what they cost us. Its disgraceful TBH, we should give Liverpool Barkley to atone for our errors.

FFS. Why dont we just pipe down and let the big boys get on with rough play?

gerrard and barkley aren't both worth nothing. no other basis to base that on.
