ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I just dont get the hype around Lallana. Good player dont get me wrong but nowhere near the standard of Silva/Mata/Ramsay. Yet someone will end up paying 20 mill + for him. He'd fit in alright here as we play that sort of game but Liverpool don't they get it forward quickly to fast players. Gerrard usually just launches it straight over the top. Lallana doesn't have any pace. One of those players who is perfect at the club he's at and shouldnt move.

Totally agree mate. Would perfect for us in the pienaar role, same mind set/skill type. For them he will be another player they just overpaid for and he will be in rotation with the best left winger on the planet aka Sterling, the best AM on the planet in Coutinho and the best bench warmer ever in Aspas. He might be a blue, but as far as I'm concerned your a [Poor language removed] bellend as soon as you sign for that lot.

Couldn't really give a damn about individual honours tbh. At the beginning of the season, if you told me we'd automatically qualify for the CL group stages, I'd have laughed my arse off. Now though, if we don't win, given where we were a few weeks ago, it will be a disappointment. Like it or not, LFC fans' expectations were raised by the incredible run of results since the new year. I'm not talking about the morons. I'm referring to actual fans. How could they not be?

I'm very excited to see what happens when our loanees return. We have 4-5 young players on loan who have had excellent seasons at their clubs. The word is that we will invest about 60M pounds this summer. If that's true, then next season is really going to be something.

But you're skint, surely?

@RED who are the 4-5 players out on loan who have had excellent seasons out of interest? I know about Borini but that's about it

Bravo John Bishop: you obviously found your level among the morons and retards who favourited and retweeted this:

Not that it looks much different from your normal appearance....

Interestingly: no follow-up tweets or comments on the performances which followed!

Borini probably has had the most publicity here because he's playing in the Prem. We have a young attacking midfielder called Suso who is playing for Almeria in Spain. We have a 21 year-old defender called Illori at Granada in Spain who has impressed since making his debut in February. Assaidi has been at Stoke, and Andre Wisdom is a young right back at Derby.

Cheers mate. What do you reckon out of all of them coming back making it in the squad? I think they are all pretty piss poor tbh and think they have found their level at the clubs they are at ( I can't rate illori or Suso I ain't seen much of them ), is it true Martin Kelly is getting released this summer?

How much did those 5 cost? I'm guessing £1 total because Liverpool don't have much money (which makes their achievements so remarkable this season) but would welcome your input.

I'm not sure about Kelly. They could all be squad players. Suso, Illori and Wisdom in particular.

I'm glad to hear you admit it. You wouldn't believe it, but many Everton fans claim that Liverpool should be winning the league comfortably. Crazy, right?

Here are the figures http://www.transferleague.co.uk/premiership-transfers/liverpool-transfers.html

It works out to about 19M, and Borini is about half of that. Suso and Wisdom cost nothing.

Next season yeah. Defo next season mate, I agree. I suppose if you keep saying it, that sentence will fall true at some point. The odds have surely been grounded down to favour you. I mean how long have the rest of the world been hearing this now?.....lets put it this way, John Major was prime minister and Paul Gascoigne announced himself to the world by watering the Turin grass.

But yeah, next season mate for sure. Another 60m getting invested you say? Going to be something you say? You need to slow down with those thoughts as B-Rod has hardly proven himself in the transfer market now has he. Infact if I was a red, I would be very worried. You obviously don't need to worry because it will go un-noticed and buried under the floor boards like the previous years, when he spunks it on more duds. Spending money only counts when they're meaningful signings right?
Next season though

I'm glad that we can agree. Although perhaps you should see a medical professional for your compulsive use of rhetorical questions.

Rodgers has shown that he has an excellent eye in the transfer market. I've covered this in past posts in detail. Some on here throw their hands up and go running for the hills in a fit at the mere mention of it. Sturridge and Coutinho have been amazing value. And the more important thing to look at are the transfer targets that we came close to signing but missed out on due to a lack of CL. They are Diego Costa, Mkhitaryan, Willian, Salah and Konoplyanka. They have all been great. I think you should be worried.

Can't knock Rodger's signings (apart from Aspas) in the final third and with the targets he missed out on and how good they've gone on to be its clear he has an eye for it.

Flanagan aside you probably need a whole new back four if you are to challenge again and I'm not sure Rodgers knows what he's doing there, even if he does think its easy to play a defence game.
